This was our first visit to Ty Croeso, the details of which we had found on the Crickhowell website. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Alex with a much needed cup of tea after a long drive from Sussex. That warmth continued throughout our 4 night stay. Alex explained the breakfast arrangements and the honesty bar, as well as the local restaurant possibilities. Our bedroom looked out towards the Black Mountains, and had all the necessary facilities which were in immaculate condition and very comfortable. The choice of breakfast menu was mouth watering, not the least the kippers + eggs! This was served at a time of our choice by Alex's lovely Mum whose anecdotes we will long remember! We could not have found a better setting for our (too) short break and cannot wait for our next visit, hopefully for a longer period. Thank you Alex Cory Terry and Gracie, not to mention Ronnie the 8 month old puppy!

Such a lovely couple who run this B&B, they make you feel right at home (Alex and Cory). The rooms are wonderful - very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. Can't fault it. Ronnie is an added bonus. Lovely walking close at hand and lots to do in the area. A trip to the Big Pit well worth it.

My mum and I stayed in this wonderful B&B for 2 nights in room 8 which was nicely furnished, clean and very comfortable, indeed. Alex, the owner, was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with plenty of choices, served in a wonderful dining room and lounge area. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thanks so much Alex.

Surprise birthday treat and what a fabulous treat from husband. Great hosts who make you very welcome. Fabulous suite, love the different sections and views. Bed so comfortable and slept well. Love the boutique style 10/10. Breakfast a highlight, fresh, filling and tasty. Kept us going till teatime. We only stayed 1 night but will return as plenty to do in the area. Thank you Alex & Cory, great hosts and your recommendation to eat at The Vine was an instant hit. Food stupendous 😁

Alex and family do a superb job hosting. We had the small room but there's actually more space than the pictures suggest, it's very cosy. Lots of really nice touches around the place and the dining/lounge area is perfect for a tea on arrival and breakfast. Plenty of delicious, fresh options for breakfast too. Beware the slightly steep hill up to the property but you get some fantastic views and walks in the area! 10/10

As my first B&B experience in 29 years, I think I'll struggle to go anywhere else now that expectations have been set super high!! Ty Croeso is a wonderful place to stay, Alex and Cory and most welcoming and were easily reachable when required (not that we had to call on them for anything as the whole weekend has been perfect) I honestly couldn't recommend this place to stay enough! We had booked the Croglofft and it was, again perfect! The room span across the whole length of the building which is also very, very clean and modern throughout! Fear not, as I am 6'1, I had no issues at all with walking around in this room!! The inside of Ty Croeso is very well kept and is very boutique as it states! Its lovely and very nice to know that after a long walk you can come back to a warm and welcoming place to stay! Breakfast was spot on too, so many options, all very well cooked, nice and hot too! Compliments to the chef! I have already recommended Ty Croeso to family and friends if they ever wanted to trek over this part of the Brecon Beacons! Thank you for making our weekend away stress free and super relaxing!

We’re just home after a 3 night stay at Ty Croeso, lovely spacious guest lounge, we stayed in the bedroom with a king bed which had seating and was spacious too. Nothing was too much trouble for Alex, a faultless host, also there is a lot of choice for breakfast. The property sits above Crickhowell and Llangattock, with Crickhowell having lots of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, just simply a sublime break for us.

From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family friends- with warmth and genuine care. Alex provided us with tea and Welsh cakes and we were then shown our room. We literally gasped as there is so much attention to detail. Alex has a very creative eye and the furniture fabrics and furnishings are all beautiful. We were fortunate enough to stay in the loft which is light, bright, spacious and airy with stunning views of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious and Alex was so friendly and offered us coffee to take on our walk. We came away for a “get away from it all break” ☺️and are extremely sad to be leaving. My sister and i have just got back from a 2 night stay at this beautiful B&B. We had the most amazing time. We walked the Brecon beacons, ate delicious food and enjoyed cocktails. all recommended by Alex. Everything was perfect, the room, facilities, views. Nothing was too much trouble for Alex and her family. I would recommend the Eggs Royale for breakfast, i had it twice along with a fruit cocktail and toast to start. Leave your car there and walk down to the Bear and the Vine (even in the pitch black it was a beautiful walk) Thank you for letting us stay and making our weekend so comfortable, you have a truly beautiful home there :)
