The Brasenose Arms

Had a lovely stay. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with everything needed for a lovely stay. The carpark is small, but there is limited street parking. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice - a great way to start the day.

This was my second visit, the first was overnight and the second for the Folk Festival. Two different evenings, both amazing!! Friendly staff, amazing service, fantastic food and gorgeous atmosphere!!! Would recommend for family time, date night or fun night with friends!!

Beautiful rooms with wonderful attention to detail. The perfect place to recharge and relax. The beds are also incredibly comfortable! Food in the pub is fantastic quality and reasonably priced. Breakfast is a must have if you stay overnight! Nothing is too much for the staff, and a warm welcome is guaranteed. Highly recommend the Brasenose experience!

No gluten, no eggs, no dairy; it gets tedious with these food sensitivities. But the Pub at the Brasenose Arms came through! The curry was the best ever. Conveniently located for those on the canal (as we were). Oh, and their beer & wine hit the spot after a day on the canal!

What a wonderful meal. Dominic is a wonderful host and looked after us so well. The Tomahawk pork chop was absolutely delicious. The chicken pie was superb.We would absolutely recommend this place to eat. A real delight.

Called in here on spec for a midday meal during a cold day in the week, while pootling round the lovely Cotswold villages of Oxfordshire. We saw the posh Blue Sign for the inn by the canal bridge & thought, if they are as smart as the sign it’ll be a good place to stop. We were met inside by Josh who politely offered us a seat (to my wife’s delight) by the stove in the cosy Restaraunt. Our food, when it arrived, was nicely presented & cooked & of sufficient quantity for us to wonder if we’d manage it all ! In an accolade to the chef, our plates were cleared, such was the quality of the meals. We were looked after by Josh with quiet efficiency who we would like to thank personally. There is off road parking at the side of the building for a few vehicles or on the surrounding roads . .
