The White Horse Crostwick

Staying in hotel down the road so called in as we were passing. Had a good pint and cider and booked to go back later for food. They had Cromer Crab on the menu which was a must for me. I also had halloumi fries to start. Husband wanted whitebait but they had sold out! He had lambs liver with bacon and mash. Both enjoyed the food and very generous helpings. They are open at 11.30 am but food finishes by about 8 for last orders. Weekends slightly different, They also have a couple of rooms which do bed and breakfast at reasonable price.

Went for Father’s Day meal. What an absolute waste of money. We had the Sunday roast, it was the worst roast we have ever had. The meat was overcooked and tuff, the potatoes did not taste like roast potatoes, they tasted like frozen roasties that were heated up in a fryer, the peas were over cooked, and the gravy was like a congealed lump in the jug. The plastic flowers on the table were covered in dust, disgusting!! Do not waste your money here, we will not be going again!

Had a meal with friends and loved the setting, we were all impressed with the quality and the amount of food and the staff were exceptional, so friendly and professional. We could not fault a single thing. We will definitely be going again . Was a thoroughly relaxing evening. Thank you all so much. Ray

What a terrible experience. The food, by far, is the worst we've had in a very long time. Cheap ingredients poorly cooked. Most of the staff were lovely, however one member of staff came across rude. Salt and pepper came out of sachets like a Wetherspoons. Mouldy fake flowers which we removed from the table. The drinks were the only thing worth paying for. These were brought to us being carried by the rims of the glass though. Not very hygienic. Expected far better based on other reviews. Far better quality pubs available within a 5 minute drive.

We met for lunch and the pub was packed which is always a good sign. Our experience with the food was awful. From the lasagne to the gravy with liver and bacon. The staff were so nice but the music was so loud We appreciated how busy they were and our half empty plates would have given an indication. Sorry we won’t be back

A very warm welcome from staff. We have visited many times before. The restaurant was full, but thankfully a table was allocated to us. The roast pork was amazing, home cooked. We spent 3 hours chatting with other guests. The land lady and daughter are so friendly and welcoming. Our place to go!
