We stayed at Casa Hibiscus when we first visited, then when we moved here while looking for our permanent apartment. Such a great location in the city for everything, on Calle Larga facing the Tomebamba River over El Barranco on the edge of El Centro. Vast improvements with the new owners and managers, who were so cordial to visiting friends. Now a delicious breakfast is included for each night’s stay, and a cantina is available for aperitifs or evening libations. The completely restored patrimonial home has the original open courtyard with a covered pavilion available for sitting outside in the evenings. Second floor access by stairs only. Very secure, managers live on site, recommend booking directly.
