I really liked this hotel. I stayed here three times, I used Dakar as a base for about three months of travel in West Africa. It's a comfortable hotel, not really a Western style chain hotel in style but with everything you need, large rooms, a comfortable bed, air conditioning and a common area that was very nice. The location is safe, with a lot of residences in the area but there isn't much to do in the immediate area, a nice supermarket nearby, some small restaurants and boulangerie, not much else. The hotel itself has a nice restaurant, I didn't try it until my last stay but wish I had earlier. Awa, who runs things, was very easy to deal with. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It's a lot like staying in someone's house, in a good way. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Dakar. The prices here are much better than some of the other Western style box hotels I have stayed at in Dakar and other Weest African countries, but it is still very comfortable and the service really sets the hotel apart. Only two things. One, I had a slight booking problem, it wasn't really the hotel's fault, they told me there were no rooms available when I tried to change the dates on one stay, but ******* accepted the reservation anyway. All I can say is that perhaps you should avoid ******* to reserve a room here. *********** worked just fine, as did contacting the hotel directly. The last thing was the internet. It was quite unpredictable in the room. Sometimes it would work, sometimes not. I suspect it had to do with the router, as more people were online, it slowed down quite a bit. Since I work on the road, I usually have both an unlimited data sim card, which worked fine (4 bars of LTE through Holafly) and Starlink (which I didn't have to use). On the main floor, in the lobby/sitting room, it always worked and had no speed limitations. I did a couple of Zoom meetings no problem.
