Tulum Beach Resort Dakhla

My stay at Tulum Resort Hotelin Dakhla was a major disappointment, overshadowing the natural beauty of the area. Despite our efforts to enjoy the holiday, the hotel’s numerous issues made it a struggle. Here’s a detailed breakdown of our experience: 1. Poor Service: The staff were consistently unhelpful and slow to respond. Basic requests, like extra towels or room service, were either ignored or handled with indifference, leaving us frustrated throughout our stay. 2. Useless Management: The management was utterly ineffective and dodged accountability. When we raised concerns about the issues below, they offered empty promises or brushed us off, showing no interest in resolving problems. 3. No Beach Access: Despite Dakhla’s stunning coastline, the hotel has no direct access to the beach. This was a huge letdown, as we expected easy access to the shore for relaxation and water activities (hotel name is Tulum Beach Resort) 4. Inactive Kids Club: The kids’ club was a complete letdown. There were no organized activities, leaving children bored and parents with no respite. It felt like an afterthought rather than a proper facility despite the effort made by the woman in charge) 5. Messy Gym: The gym was chaotic, with equipment and accessories scattered everywhere. It was clear no one maintained or organized the space, making it nearly unusable for a proper workout. 6. Mediocre Food: Breakfast was average at best, with limited variety and lackluster quality. Lunch and dinner were not worth the cost—overpriced for bland, uninspiring dishes that failed to showcase local flavors. 7. Filthy Rooms: Our room was shockingly dirty, with spider webs in corners, ants crawling on surfaces, and even cockroaches. We heard from a previous staff about rats in some rooms, which made us uneasy the entire stay. 8. Far from Kite Spot: For those visiting Dakhla for kitesurfing, be warned—the hotel is a 25-minute drive from the main kite spot. This added unnecessary hassle and travel time to our plans. 9. Frequent Power Cuts: Power outages happened multiple times a day, disrupting everything from charging devices to using basic amenities. It was inconvenient and poorly managed by the hotel. 10. Loud Disco Until 5 AM: On Saturday nights, a blaring disco kept us awake until 5 AM. The noise was unbearable, especially for families or anyone hoping for a restful sleep. We heard about it but we did not experience it thanks to the bad weather. Thankfully, Dakhla itself is a beautiful destination, and we managed—through no small effort—to salvage our holiday by exploring the area and its kitesurfing opportunities. However, I strongly recommend avoiding Tulum in Dakhla. The mismanagement, poor facilities, and lack of care made this a frustrating experience. Save yourself the hassle and choose another accommodation to fully enjoy Dakhla’s charm.

Ask for Khalil at the reception , he has amazing customer service skills and made our stay so comfortable. Same for Narjis she was so helpful . Cabana is a fun place to enjoy your weekend , food was so tasty . Spa was so clean and they offer a variety of hammam experiences.

Do not trust Tulum Resort in Dakhla, they are not honorable and they are not honest. They stole money from me. I visited Tulum Resort in Dakhala in April of 2024. I had a medical problem with my eye so I asked If I could get a refund for the remainder of my time if I left to seek medical attention. They Officially approved a full refund of about $1,600 US. If they did not guarantee my refund I would have ompleted my pre paid stay there. I have been in communication with them since April or 2024 and it is now Jan of 2025. They have promised my refund many times and aslo told me that it had been sent at leat 3 times, in writing. They have aslo offered the full refund in writing in the form of a contract that they had me sign and guaranteed the return of my money as they promised. Tulum Resort has not refunded me the money that they promised in writing no less than 4 times. They lied to me repeatedly and stole the refund by keeping it and no honoring their promise to return it. I do have well documented proof of this as well as the contract that they sent. Do not trust Tulum Resort, they lie to their ciistomers and steal money that they promised to refund in writing. They have stated a fear of getting a bad reputation. This is their reputation with proof. Theu like and steal from their customers. Becasie of this, one of the world largest adventure travel companies that booked me there is removing Tulum Resort form the properties that they book and reccomending that others do the same. Beware and use caution before you bok Tulum Resort as they can not be trusted with your mmoney and they are not honest people. As stated, I have proof in writing of all of this.

The service was impeccable, with Khalid making the experience truly special with his excellent recommendations. The cocktail 🍸🍸😍he suggested was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and authentic, and the music by Simo and Nada perfectly set the mood.🎸🎶 A big thank you to the entire team, especially Khalid, Simo, and Nada. Highly recommended😍🥰🥰

Very good trip, highly appreciated sense of service by all the member of the team, especially M khalid amazeri. The hotel is family friendly and also provide a set of activities. And whenever you need a service that they don’t provide, they always find a solution.

We went there as a group for a few days and the stay was very enjoyable to all of us, the staff was very welcoming and helpful, the hotel was clean, the food was good and lodges very warm and comfy. Would definitely recommend and coming back for sure!
