Sydney Hyde Park Private Apartments by Paxsafe

I made a reservation through a third party and didn't realize it was a non-refundable rate. I realized after canceling that it was non-refundable, so I contacted both the third party and the hotel. The third party tried working with the company, but the hotel refused to let me keep my reservation and kept my money. Despicable!!!

OMG this was the WORST accommodation i have ever booked. I had booked this from ******* for my young family and have never had an issue with a property before. I feel the pictures do not represent the property at all. we arrived at approx 8pm and upon entering the room we were instantly disappointed. to the point that we checked straight into another hotel staying only 1 hr. The room had a smell to it and had grime in many places, fridge cupboards walls. the fold out couch smelled like urine and the carpets were very tired and dirty. The kitchen sink was held together with duct tape. the bathroom has unhygienic with a cracked bath tub and rust showing. I immediately called the property manager whom was rude and unapologetic. stating terms and conditions. I would never recommend this property to my worst enemy as they would hold the same feelings as above. BE WELL AWARE Happy to discuss this further bruce@manukauquarries.co.nz

Where do I start, it was dirty and needed major maintenance and upgrading, the apartment is only suited for 3 people and definitely Not 5 people, when we booked it stated bedroom = 2 double beds, living room = 1 bed sofa which in my head and probably most others it sounds like 2 bedrooms, erm no it was 1 bedroom with the worse double bed mattress ever so hard and thin, a double bed was placed in the living room with the sofa bed. We paid well over $1,000 for just 3 nights and was disgusted by the whole apartment, our travellers included 2 x couples and our elderly mum who had no option but to sleep on a rock hard very dirty sofa bed at the age of 75 yrs old, the carpets were so badly stained it was dirty and disgusting, the soap suds while in the shower came up out of the grid on the bathroom floor itself, the kitchen was equipped with only 3 cups, 3 pieces of cutlery. We called the manager in charge which I presume was the owner and all they offered us when we explained the sleeping conditions was we have another apartment for 1 of your couples but it will cost you an additional couple of hundred dollars per night,which we replied no way we have paid well over $1,000 for this which definitely is NOT worth the money at all. he kept saying but if you rent a place in this location it will cost you that a month, I’m like hang on we paid this price for 3 nights not a month, he bought the price of the additional apartment down to around $150 per night we still said no and he said well there is nothing we can do. We suffered the 3 nights but NEVER AGAIN, and I would definitely NOT NEVER recommend to anyone at all not even a couple of people because it was dirty and an awful nights sleep. Don’t get me wrong the hotel it’s situated in is lovely bright and clean, but by god when we opened the apartment door we thought omg I wouldn’t put my dog in there, we would have booked elsewhere if it wasn’t for the price we paid for it. So people I would AVOID at all costs I’m sorry, I wish I had read the reviews before my sister had booked this hell hole. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST ACCOMODATION I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I walked in the door, spent 10 minutes in there and walked straight back out. The pricing is outrageous considering how horrible the place is. The kitchen is completely outdated, the lamps flickered, the carpet was stained, the bathroom was gross, the foldout bed that was supposed to be suitable for two people to sleep comfortably on was completely uncomfortable and small. When I called the contact person to raise my concerns he was SO rude. He told me to call his mananger on Monday morning.When I called the mananger on the Monday morning, I was yelled at and not listened to. He would not let me speak or tell him of the issues I had with the apartment. The only good thing about this apartment would be how close it is to the city.
