--- **Stayed in September 2024** My first impression of this hotel was quite poor. Although reception was prepared for my arrival, the greeting was rather lackluster, and it was difficult to get a smile from the staff. Upon entering Room 20, I found it to be old but tasteful, with a small wardrobe tucked into a corner, a large room, big bed, and a spacious bathroom. There were only two coffees and four UHT milks provided. My room was situated above reception, and the constant thudding of the door below was quite annoying. On returning from work on day one, I found that my room hadn’t been serviced. This was surprising, and when I inquired at reception, I was told, "It tells you in the room to request it." I explained that I hadn’t seen that information, and suggested it would be helpful to mention this at check-in. My comment was met with a shrug. No alternative was suggested. I asked if I could have coffee. Reception placed coffees two towels and UHT into a bannatybe shopping bag. “This is what we do” if they can inform me of breakfast times during check-in, but not the need to request room servicing.
