"Nanshe" is located in the ancient city of Datong, a quiet place amidst the bustle, about 15 minutes' walk from Daiwang's Palace. Lovely, new and clean property with spacious rooms. Excellent location within the ancient city, and the staff and manager go out of their way to provide inputs and suggestions for your trip. Breakfast is also fairly substantial. Room also has all the amenities you need for your trip. Overall great stay and recommend this to everyone with a Datong plan!

Fantastic hotel. So clean and comfortable with good breakfast and the staff so friendly and helpful. There's a self service laundry and complimentary fruit, snacks. A very wonderful stay.

Incredible service, employees were all extremely kind and considerate. The room was very clean and orderly, and laundry service was extremely useful. Even though we were out of the hotel, our clothes were not only brought back up to our room but also neatly folded and hung up in the dresser. Would absolutely recommend.

Nanshe surprised us pleasantly in many ways. First the owner of the homestay came personally to pick us up from the high speed rail station and did an introduction of the Datong old city on the way to the homestay. She is very friendly and took great care of us throughout the 3 days we stayed with them. The caretaker of the homestay is also a gem. She took care of all our outbound travels from Datong and even helped to coordinate the courier of my left-behind charger from the previous hotel in Beijing. When we had to leave early for outbound tours, they even packed breakfast for us to take with us. So a big kudos to the Nanshe premium stay and their top notch staff for making our stay in Datong such an enjoyable one. We will be back again!

The staffs at the hotel are super friendly and tries to help the guest in every way. Cherry(Ms Yang) was so kind to help us each day to reserve Yungang Grotto and transportation back to airport. View from hotel room was beautiful with roofs and city wall. Breakfast was good and snacks was good. Staff also helped with laundry. We have been traveling China for two months and China impressed me with such friendly people and beautiful landscape. We will definitely visit again. I re moment this hotel highly. Thanks Cherry for your hospitality. Your fluency in English also was very helpful and you made our stay so memorable!

Nanshe is a brand new hotel located in the downtown area. The building itself is brand new, modeled in chinese traditional courtyard style. The area is quiet but close to attractions and shopping streets 大同不夜城. It is located next to the datong ancient city walls north gate, within walking distance to nine dragons wall, huayan temple, shanhua temple and the Southeast Yi Historical and Cultural Block. There is also a bus stop outside that goes round the area.Cab fare is less than 30 rmb to Yungang Grottoes and Datong south highspeed train station.
Friendly and attentive staff checking for allergy if any. The owner was kind enough to meet me at the train station. Breakfast is simple fare consists of millet congee with side dishes, tasty noodles in warm broth, toasts and local pastries etc. Freshly made coffee from a semi auto coffee maker. Hotel serves light sweet soup to guests before dinner. Free fruits and cookies in the lobby. Washing machine and dryer are avail for use. My room has an overhead projector with wide selection of movies. Clean and comfortable. Room has many wall sockets for charging. Bathroom is huge. Deposit 200 rmb as all the facilities are brand new. Enjoyable stay. Datong is delightful a comination of the old and new.

Friendly and great hosts. They packed breakfast and snacks for us to bring for our early train trip. The room and facilities are clean and neat. Location is near the Northern Gate city wall.

The service is exceptional. Staff was very helpful and offered many useful suggestions to make our trip a pleasant one. Our booking came with an option of pick up or drop off service which was a bonus. Nanshe is a boutique hotel with five star hospitality.
