Tanya was amazing! When our van to the airport was a no show, the hotel called a cab. When the cab didn’t come Tanya, the manager took us and all our luggage to the airport. Way above and beyond! Thank you also for checking on us in the evening and the water slide and breakfast was perfect!

We stayed for just one night and were very satisfied. Staff friendly, room very clean, beds comfortable. The breakfast was standard HIE breakfast, but staff very pleasant and kept everything filled, fresh, and clean. We found the restaurant next door, Wing It, to be good as well.

This is a very nice place to stay. Immaculately clean, bright, modern. Beds are comfy, the choice of firmness in pillows is quite nice. Included breakfast is plentiful and good. Staff super nice and friendly. Definitely recommend staying here. The *only* downside is the hotel wifi. It's not very functional, which can be an issue if you've got work to do, or even if you want to stream something.

Flying into Newfoundland's Deer Lake airport late in the afternoon, we are SO glad we had picked this very good Holiday Inn as our one-night base for our trip. Very clean, comfortable and with all the basic conveniences - as well as breakfast included. And a pool - which came in handy to do a little exercise because outdoors (10 degrees, windy, and raining) was not really an option. Very friendly and helpful staff.

C$207 per night. Hot breakfast is included. Dispenser for soap, shampoo and conditioner. Microwave oven in room. Free wifi but very weak in the room. Free parking. As with all buildings here, can hear and feel every single footstep from rooms above and beside you. Daily room turnaround.

Location of this hotel is really good but the Hotel itself is very old inside. Beds, Floors,Cushions are old and you can hear people walking upstairs, door sliding below in the entry, water going down the flush etc etc. You name it and you can hear all these sounds. Little move on the bunk beds make so much noise that everyone wakes up and asked what happened ? Now Breakfast, 1st day we noticed Pan cake machine is broken and Hotel put it on display that its broken, Ok I thought may be its broken today and will be fixed tomorrow, nope I was wrong, same broken machine is on Display only. Another note on 2nd day once hash-browns got finished in the tray, staff said there is no more hash-browns and then lady went back and brings a small bowl of hash-brown for 4 of us. Then another staff member brings us another small bowl when 1st one said there is none left. At the same time we noticed a big try went out (of hash-brown) from the kitchen to some staff meeting or business meeting. Horrible experience as Hotel is not thinking of taking care of people who are staying there and lying that food is finished when its not, We paid $200+ for a night. Does not feels like a Holiday In hotel at all. NOT WORTH IT.

I have to give it a 3 because I could hear the people above me walking. They were just walking normal. There is not enough sound deadening in the ceiling. I have to give it a 4 because breakfast was better than most included at hotels. Even the toilet paper was better than most, actually the best I have had in a hotel. Lighting was OK. The number of 120v outlets good but the lower one by the bed did not work. 4 good towel sets. not all places have that many unless you call the desk. Nice clean pool with a slide and a hot tub. Medium refrigerator with no freezer. A little pricey but rooms in this area are booked early.
