Baymont by Wyndham Delavan Near Lake Geneva

It’s an old property that could use some updating. The ceiling tiles in the bathroom were out, see picture. Location is on the Main Street in downtown Delavan, several good breakfast places within walking.

Annual Girls Trip The hotel was good we had one person on the desk name Renae he was horrible and rude. I hve the owner number. The rest of the staff was wonderful

This place was just unreal. When you open the bathroom door, it hits the toilet so you have to squeeze in between the door and the wall because it doesn’t even open all the way. This place is an absolute dump.

Had to spend 30 minutes after arriving at 10:30 pm cleaning the bathroom myself to remove all the hair and dirt from the bathroom and shower. Manager was supposed to contact me to discuss but never did. Staff also tried to enter my room with a key card after checking in, and the cause of the issue was that one of the staff incorrectly noted the room I was checked into so they wanted to “confirm I was in that room”. Hotel was unclean, manager never followed up to discuss dissatisfaction. Overall extremely poor experience.

TL:dr – This hotel has bed bugs, and I’m having to fight them to refund my full 2-night stay, even though I was only in the room less than one hour. ******* won't refund me without the approval of the hotel. I have photos and videos of the overall condition of my room, which was already abysmal - the reviews claiming renovations are either lies or this room was left off the list. I dropped off my luggage earlier in the evening and left after 10 minutes. Didn't get back until 11:30, was in bed by 11:55. Within 3 minutes, a bed bug was crawling on the comforter. I got up, packed up to leave, took a video on my way out and another bed bug was crawling on the pillow I had just been laying on. I told the front desk on my way out, they weren't surprised, referenced "the last time this happened" and told me to contact ******* and the manager. This morning I was notified by ******* the hotel refused my request for a refund for the two nights, even though I was only in the room less than an hour total.

Small town with a great view The staff was amazing and our room was ready and comfortable. Breakfast was hot, bar on site. We would come back for sure.
