The Legend Inn Delhi

We have just had a long holiday in India and used many cars and drivers in several cities. Aditya was by far the best driver we had during our trip in India. A safe driver, considerate and his car is new and in excellent condition. Highly recommend Aditya.

We had a wonderful experience wit Legend Inn and of course it was budget friendly. We stayed at a suite room, the breakfast and room was good although the bathroom was a bit small but overall a nice experience. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed here 2 nights to be near a friend. Handy 3 min walk from Metro but frontage and lift unwelcoming as was welcome from reception. Economy room tiny with a single bed but nice bathroom, fan and air conditioning. Well equipped but not much floor space. Breakfast very basic, hosted in a boardroom with lots of insects. *** there very nice and you can order omelettes. Not very good value for money, think nicer can be found in South Delhi.

We have stayed here 2x, over six years apart, to visit my aunt who lives in Kailash Colony. I think the only thing bad I can say about it is that it's in that Kailash location -- very good if you have reason to be there (e.g., family nearby), but for a general tourist maybe this is not the best choice bc it is not near to any of the typical monuments. On the other hand, it is also not impossibly far from any, e.g. you are as close to Qutb Minar as you are to Humayun's Tomb. (Of course, "not far" means in Delhi traffic, everything is 30-45 minutes.) Rooms are clean, comfortable, AC works. There are a good number of outlets, and many of them support Western plugs, so that people with two devices will likely be able to keep charged (bring adapters anyway). There is included breakfast, which is basic (toast, omelette, one or two simple Indian dishes, tea and coffee) but is more than enough to keep you sustained. Staff will respond to requests and front desk has good English, but you DO have to make requests. Similarly (and this may explain past reviews) -- if you want your room cleaned, you have to drop your key at the front desk as you go out! This is a very old school Indian hotel in that regard. There is also a climbing wall in the lobby but I've never seen it used and have no clue if it's been maintained enough to be trustworthy. Overall, I am confident I'll be here again, I think in part because it's so close to my people. If it weren't for that, I might consider a different option.

My time at Legend Inn was really bad. They gave my personal information to a tour company without asking me first. This caused me a lot of trouble with the tour company bothering me. The service at the hotel was not good, and the staff didn't care about my problems. Don't stay at this hotel if you can help it. I emailed them to ask why they shared my passport, but they never answered me.

Dirty. No bath towels given. Room was not clean. Water only given on first day. Soap given was not adequate. Service was not good. Included breakfast was good. Location is good. Not walkable just in between old and New Delhi.
