Berkshire on the Ocean

I hate to write a bad review but I don’t wish anyone else to have the experience that I had. I ended up with bedbug bites. I’m 63 and traveled to many places and never had this happen to me. We stayed 4 nights here and after the first night I had bites on the backs of my arms. I thought at first it was mosquitoes since we ate dinner outside. But each morning I had more bites on my arms and lower back that turned into huge welts by the time we left. I googled what bedbug bites look like and that’s definitely what I had. The itching was so intense and it took about ten days for the bites to heal. The rooms are very dated with old furniture.

Berkshires on the Ocean is a hidden gem. The rooms are a bit outdated, however, they are kept very clean and in the process of updating. The rooms have a sitting area with pull out couch, small kitchenette with dishwasher and stove, bathroom and decent sized bedroom. A couple friends and I went for a long weekend and had a room on the 2nd floor which had a view of the ocean. We never felt like we were fighting for space. The hotel had a pool, putting green and tables to relax in the commons area. There was private access to the beach where cabanas were on a first come first serve. However, beach chairs were also available from the front desk. I can not say enough about how accommodating and friendly the staff was. If you needed something, they brought it immediately. The famous Atlantic Ave. where all the shops, bars and restaurants are was only a 2 mile walk away down Ocean Blvd. If you didn't want to walk that far, a short walk over the bridge leads you to stores and other places to eat. It is a place I would definitely go back to and highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Berkshire on the Ocean in Delray Beach, Florida. The location is awesome, right on the beach and convenient to all of Delray. Our second floor room had a spectacular view of the ocean, and included a wide entry area with lounge chairs and a table and chairs. We will return to this location.

Great access to uncrowded beach. Resort is old but functional. They are giving it a face lift with painting. Customer service was excellent!

Oceanfront. Small pool and putting green. Quiet area. You either need to bring your own food or drive to restaurants as there is not much in walking distance. Best for adults. Beach was not crowded. Units have everything you need including a full kitchen. The property is a timeshare but we were able to stay for a couple of nights. Morikami is only about 15-20 minutes away.

The location is a bit aged. Other than that, it is fantastic. The unit has ample storage and functionality. The pool is very nice with plenty of outdoor seating and there are grills available. The beach access is extremely convenient and the courtesy cabanas are fabulous!
