Hotel Cascade Resort & Spa

Spacious, well equipped rooms which provide you with everything you'd need for some relaxation (jacuzzi, infrared sauna inside the suite). The hotel, the rooms and the restaurant are all crystal clean, not mentioning the variety and deliciousness of the food. The wellness area is nice to spend an afternoon in, having the opportunity to participate in some sauna seances, too. You can reach the neighbouring hot water pools with a short walk directly from the hotel, and you can also reach the Cave Bath quickly. The hotel is built on a hill, with a pleasant view from the suite, and at night if the weather is nice, the starry sky is spectacular as well due to low light pollution. The staff was very kind and polite, you could turn to them with nearly anything. The reservation was a breeze through the phone, we had the honour to speak with Kinga Bajzát to make our booking, and we were treated professionally and nicely. We'd recommend the hotel to anyone who is searching for a pleasant place to unwind and have some recreation.

Upon arrival the staff were immediately rather unpleasant, we arrived at 1.30 pm and there was no way to check in before 2 pm. We don't know what could change for them... Then we realized that the Hotel's SPA is a miserable little pool, the actual SPA is 300 meters from the Hotel and is not the property of the Hotel, so in addition to having to do it on foot with 2 C in winter, you also have to pay it. In the evening we realized that the room was infested with cockroaches (they came from a hole in the false ceiling). After repeated discussions, they accused us of having left the window open, which is why there were cockroaches (as if with 2C there were cockroaches on the terrace!!!) they moved us to another room, obviously of a lower category. You also have to pay attention to the rush hour for showering, otherwise, you risk running out of water in the room (it happened to me). The bottom line is just not worth it, go somewhere else.
