The building itself is stunning but not sure about its suitability to be a hotel. It still has the convent feel and people whisper and sit in silence, breakfast room felt very strange with all eating but not talking and background music so quiet it was inaudible. I had read there was a bar and was disappointed to realize it closes at 6pm and after that there is an honestly bar, which meant that if you fancied a glass of wine during the evening you had to buy an half bottle (12,50)! The terrace and garden are beautiful and we sat outside a lot, but had the weather been bad then you’d sit in your room because there wasn’t other facility. We just had a standard room and I have never been in such a small hotel room, the (very comfy bed) literally filled the room, the bathroom was nearly as big and very nice and modern shower room. I know it used to be a convent but our room, room 7, was not big enough to be used as a guest room. It was nice and clean. Breakfast, don’t waste 16,50 on this, no cereal only oats & muesli with yogurt, which is good and healthy but short of choice. Bacon but only about 6 pieces for all to share and boiled eggs but not fried or scrambled. This all sounds negative but we really did enjoy our stay, it just was not at all what we expected or had experienced before for 100 per night.
