The cottages have one of the best locations in Shark Bay. However, we were booked for two nights but checked out after one. There is rustic and then there is just not great in any way shape or form. If a little bit of money was spent on a new bed, totally renovating the bathroom, a nice table and chairs, fixing the windows so they open, repairing the flyscreens, cleaning the mould off the ceiling, cleaning the floors and a coat of paint, the cottage we stayed in - Dugong - would be beautiful. Other cottages may be different.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! I contacted the woman from Shark Bay Holiday cottages to explain we had just lost a family member and would be unable to come for the holiday we had planned. Before I could go on, she reminded me that there would be no refund. We did not care about a refund, when I said my son has just passed away, she said " Exactly so a refund is the last thing you should be thinking about" she then hung up on me. We were actually planning to hopefully reschedule our stay to a week later after the funeral to come and process our grief however she did not even give me time to broach this. We will NEVER stay here not now, not ever!!! I left the phone conversation extremely upset and in disbelief that someone in the tourism industry could be so awful. We had already cancelled a Whale dive and accommodation in Exmouth and both tourism operations were empathetic and understanding of our situation, we did not receive a refund from the accommodation in Exmouth either but at least the woman on the end of the phone showed empathy. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR!!!

Yeah. Don't waste your money. At $240 per night for a 'cottage' you get a mangled scrappy donga with hardly any water pressure and the whole thing is coming apart and should be condemned. Not even worth half that. Do yourself a favor and stay well clear.

Thoroughly disappointing. Was expecting simple, but wasn’t expecting parts of the wall held together with gaffa tape. Was so old and run down. Dirty walls, old couch that would look at home out front ready for council pick up. Bathroom was so old and run down. Honestly, don’t bother.

This is a no frills option in Denham - basic accommodation with standalone cottages. Overall room is clean but a bit dated on the finish and furnishing but otherwise good for the purpose. There is a kitchenette to enable cooking and a good sized refrigerator / freezer. There also is a small deck with table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy the sea breeze. Friendly management and easy check in/out.

Cottages nothing like photos on bookings .3 bedroom extremely old and dirty furniture smelly bathrooms very run down . Outside grounds look like a tip . The only good thing we complained and asked for money back and we were given it back promptly. The owners have 2 cottages renovated that they put on tripadvisor . But the rest are dumps the barbecue areas are filthy and its just dirt around cabins . Avoid this place .

We booked this 3 bredroom cottage on *********** it looked very moden & beautiful in the photos. On arrival we were surprised to see the cottages were in a terrilbe state of repair, our cottage was absolutely discusting & dirty. The bathroom stunk of urine & was filthy, the whole place stunk. The kitchen was old & dirty all fittings, fridge, cupboards, aircon were old & broken down. The furniture was old & filthy we wouldn't even think of sitting on the discusting sofa, the beds admittedly had reasonable bed linen, There was a filthy BBQ outside I would not concider using as it was caked in grease & had never been cleaned. This place was nothing like the photos on *********** which showed a modern spotlessly clean cottage with all the mod cons. I spoke to the owner who told me that he had renovated two of the cottages & showed me them, I asked if we could change our cottage to one of these he told me that they were booked & he couldn't do that. He tried to tell me that for the price it was good value for 4 people! This place is grossly misrepresented on *********** & should be taken off the site. The owner I give him credit agreed to refund our payment, he was obviously used to doing this with other dissatisfied customers.

Just stayed 6 lovely nights in the Dolphin Deluxe Studio chalet. The chalet living area has been renovated , with the bathroom to be done in the near future. We found the chalet very clean, tidy and comfortable for our 6 night stay. We cooked a few meals using the kitchenette facilities. As long as I wasn’t cooking a 3 course meal, it was very suitable for what we needed. One night we used the communal BBQ next to the fire pit. We spent most afternoons sitting on the deck, overlooking the water. The cottages are very well located to most things. There is a well stocked supermarket next door. Easy walking to the jetty, cafe, bar etc. The new owners Ashley & Dean are very accommodating lovely people, who will help you out with anything. Found all staff to be super friendly. We will be back for another visit, Very enjoyable, thank you !

We spent four nights here and had a great time. The cottages are exactly as advertised. Rustic, clean, comfortable, and great value, and the views from our porch was spectacular. Can thoroughly recommend. The current owners are helpful and friendly. We’ll be back and would stay here again.
