Derawan is an extraordinary and beautiful island. Must to visit for tourist. If you come to Indonesia, don't forget to visit Derawan Island because it is one of the most beautiful islands I have ever visited and its charm is still natural.very recomended.

The good reviews are from years ago..... Nowadays this old resort is not even a resort anymoore... Just broken old pieces of rotting wood... Such a pity... Shold be taken down and build a new one... Nobody can stay here.... Theres many places to stay on the island that are mych better.

The dive center needs an urgent renovation , as the furniture is quite worn out , the air conditioner does not work enough to cool the entire room , in the bathroom there was an opening in the wall where a mouse appeared during the day , the beaches of the island are not possible to walk barefoot as there are many broken pieces of glass in the sand which I had never seen before, and there is a lot of dirt on the beach, the food is reasonable. The diving is not very organized and I found 45min to be little time. The good thing is that we could see the whale shark and manta, and there is snorkeling activities together. But I don't recommend the place, I wouldn't return to this dive center or Derawan island.
