Bliss Dhigurah

I spent 3 nights at Bliss and had a lovely time. I would recommend it, as it was value for money, comfortable and was at a great location. - My experience in booking my room was pleasant, the response was prompt and efficient. All the information I needed was sent to me in advance. The hotel booked my transfer details and had someone waiting at the airport for me. - The room was lovely. Quite adequate in size. A nice bathroom and a lovely veranda. - The breakfast consisted of a granola bowl and some toast. It was adequate. The coffee was good. - The location of the hotel is wonderful, just opposite the beach. The island is lovely, with a forested side and a beautiful sandbank. - The excursions were great. I did the manta tour and the whale shark tour and was lucky to see both. The boat captain was a good spotter and so was the boat assistant. Just know that you can only go on the excursion that is booked for the day, depending on demand. You can't book an excursion as per your preferences. - The staff was friendly and accommodating. Archana was great. They also helped me make some last minute changes to my airport transfer, which was greatly appreciated. Suggestions: - The bathroom had a slight bad smell sometimes - There was an electric kettle, but no coffee/tea/sugar/milk - The guide in the excursions was diffident and uninterested in us guests. He was mostly interested in taking photos and videos for himself. He was not a good spotter either, in fact the boat captain spotted more. The guide did not even speak to us, let alone tell us about the fish and marine life (perhaps he doesn't have the knowledge?). He did not look out for us, even though the conditions were very rough on the second day. He is not a safe person to snorkel with. I suggest the hotel changes to a different guide. - The food at Hermit's is overpriced. The sandwich I had was a big disappointment. I went to a restaurant nearby for meals (called Aveli's) I think Bliss is value for money and I would recommend it. I would stay there again.

We had a perfect stay at Bliss! The hotel is just a few minute walk to the bikini beach, which is wonderful. The island itself is not crowded at all, and we had our privacy throught the whole stay. The island is perfect sized, decently clean and the sandbank is just beautiful. I reccommend renting a motorbike for a few days as you need to walk for about 45 minutes to sandbank. We stayed in budget room 108 which was on the smaller side but had everything you need. It was clean, and maintaned daily. We opted for half board option - the breakfast was tasty and they have something else as a daily specials every day. Local brakfast Mashuni is a must try! Coffee is amazing and pizza was also delicious. Dinner options were great and everything we tried was very tasty. We did jot have any digestion problems even though I have a very sensitive stomach. We did some of activites: Manta and Whale shark tours and Remote sandbank picnic which was amazing! I reccommend staying on the picnic the whole day because it is absolutely georgeous! Staff was very welcoming and helpful, they made our stay wonderful. Thank you Sara, Shah, Archana, Ravi & Sammer We will be back!

We had a very nice stay at Bliss. We stayed 4 nights. The rooms where clean and with good air condition. We enjoyed the restaurant with nice variety in breakfast and good possibilities for lunch and dinner. Thank you so much to the very kind staff Ravi, Sameer, Sama, Shivani, Amjad and Achana! They are ready to meet your needs and remember your preferences

Very enjoyable stay for a week at Bliss Dhigurah. We are a family of 4. Big appreciation to Mr. Khan and Ms. Archana as Hosts as well as a team at Hermits Restaurant and the best guide Fauzan!!! The transportation arranged from Male and back. The food was tasty, the tours offered at our requests. We got a great ocean experience in tours to see the whale shark, manta rays, turtles and do fishing! A coral along the coast is an attraction in itself providing swimming with turtles or octopus and many beautiful sights of the blue sky and water, green palms, fruit bats flying around, sunrises and sunsets. We stayed at the Loft room and it was comfortable. Some troubles with moskitos but repellents are offered at the restaurant. It is a pity there is currently no bar or restaurant on the roof as shown on the site but otherwise everything is great.

Great staff and hospitality in a cozy environment. Very close to Beach. The Restaurant Hermit links naturally to the hotel and atmosphere. Rooms are fine - you have whats needed. WIFI is only 10 Mbit/s - so video streaming is not optimal. The associated beat operator (snorkling/dives) are also very nice and friendly.

Bliss is a very welcoming and embracing hotel at the local island of Dhigurah. The staff at the hotel was amazing, so attentive, smiling and seeking to fulfill any of your wishes. The room - Loft - was a very nice family room with a little courtyard with a hammock. Only issue would be the smell in the bathroom - both a bit moldy smell as well as sewer. My guess would be it is link to some heavy rainfall.
