Nomad Beach Resort

I just returned home from the Nomad beach resort . It was a wonderful stay. The staff were amazing. The grounds were beautiful. The beach was lovely. As a single woman travelling with a child, the staff ensured I felt safe. It was my son's birthday when we were there. The sang happy birthday, gave him and cake and a gift too. The staff really went out of their way to make him feel special. I would return to this resort in a heartbeat.

I am staying here with my family. I have 2 young kids. Not a good experience. Too expensive as per what they are offering you. Rooms are very small and have lots and lots of lizards, ants and spiders. Cleaning is not on point in rooms as well as other parts of property, they don't have any kids play area or any such activities for kids. Rooms are not as shown in photos.

We were there 3 years ago and we liked the location but not the food, because of all the good reviews we decided to go back. Very disappointing, had the worst steak in my entire life, I could not cut it and eat it, they offered me a new one but the appetite was gone, my wife had the fish but was very dry and not tasty. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, sorry!

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of our six week tour around Kenya. The beach faces east, so no sunsets. The spring tide reduces the beach to nothing and when it recedes it’s a 100 metre walk to the shallows. The Good A very personal and intimate resort with character. The pool area is lovely and the staff who look after you in this area are marvellous. Nelly was proactive and always smiling and friendly. Breakfast was perfect, mangoes, papaya, dragon fruit etc. Charles the pastry chef produced small quiches, tarts et al which were excellent. Lunch poolside was good for club sandwiches and pizzas. All staff were very helpful and courteous throughout. The Bad Dinner in the restaurant was below average. We were so disappointed that we ate out on 3 of the 6 evenings catching an Uber. We had 2 poor sleep nights as the air conditioner conked out (resolved giving us an adjoining room). The shower was uncomfortably hot as the cold water was also hot. No smart TV in room. No shower caps/sewing kits/ear buds/face flannels etc. No proper bedside tables and discrete lighting. Not a drawer in sight, just open cubbies and hanging rail. Limed furniture is a bit passé in 2025. The accommodation is quite expensive when compared to resorts we visited on our nights out (which offered live music, restaurant choices and a bit more dazzle etc.). The whole place could do with some TLC!

We had a truly fantastic week at this wonderful resort. The location, the food, the facilities, and - most importantly - the people are simply second to none. We wholeheartedly recommend this little slice of paradise.

Deeply disappointed that despite telling this restaurant we were celebrating an anniversary we had slow service and zero fuss. When telling the manager he just said just tell us…we did, 4 times, the wine was overpriced and average food.
