The walls are paper thin at this place. It was clean enough but the bathroom was questionable because I found hair in there from someone else. Also found someone’s sweatshirt vest hanging inside the bathroom door. I would not stay here again

A bit above average for a Red Roof Inn. Room was clean, and when I got there, several staff were cleaning the hallways. Check in/out was easy. Mediocre on the breakfast - but that's part of the cost savings. I did get double charged for the single night that I was there, and I contacted the front desk who told me that they only saw one charge in their system, so I cancel one of the two via the credit card company. My stay was just an overnighter on my way from Canada to Maryland. Binghamton NY is just another filthy East coast city. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the town has a planetarium, which I visited, and along with its museum, provided fairly decent experience. Not worth a return visit.

Certainly a budget friendly hotel ( it was the lowest rate on a busy weekend), but there were a few issues: the hallways smelled bad, there were absolutely no towel holders in the bathroom ( never seen that before) and there was noise all night. The breakfast was limited to carbs choices, which is not very healthy. Since I have been staying at other budget friendly hotels in the area and they had everything we needed ( including eggs for breakfast), I will say the rate doesn’t justify what’s lacking here. And not being able to sleep was the worst part.

I’m paid at least $100 for my room and I expect to have a clean room. That’s bare minimum standards for a hotel. The blankets, sheets, bedding, and pillow cases had hair on them. To top off this experience room cleaning had already left for the day so I had to change my bedsheets myself. The floor is also dirty - photo of a towel to show how dirty the floor was after I wiped it. Also found hair in the bathroom and the mirror is dirty too. The headboard also has handprint and other marks on it. It’s like this room has never been cleaned. Gross.

This place is dirty, unkempt and has absolutely no amenities for dogs. Breakfast was a few stale bagels and absolutely no creamer (unless you like French vanilla). Rooms were dirty - floors, refrigerator, ice bucket all gross. Even the packets in the room for the coffee machine were opened.

The positives - this property is easily findable, just past the turning circle off the busy I-81 and tucked in a quiet area. Check-in was friendly and quick. The room seemed recently renovated with hardwood flooring, and seemed clean and in good shape despite it being an older property. The beds however were more like three-quarter sized than standard double, which led to an uncomfortable night for us as we slept two per bed. Making our night worse was the noisy A/C, which we felt compelled to keep on as it was a hot muggy night, plus it helped create white noise to damper the racket from neighbors both beside and above us - the walls are very thin. Water pressure and temperature were both very poor, and the tiny soaps and shampoo provided wouldn't wash one of us let alone four, but fortunately we always being our own. The breakfast was what we expected for a place like this so we went to McDonalds just around the bend. All in all, we got what we paid for, and we didn't pay much compared to what we would've at other places. But the next time we're stopping in Binghamton maybe we'll spend a few extra bucks for hopefully a better experience.

I came here as a halfway point on a very long drive. This place was right off the highway and easy to find Checking in was quick and hassle free, and the room was really clean and in great condition. I have terrible allergies to dust and mold, and hotels can be really challenging but I didn’t even need to take my medicine. (I was in the handicapped room- 139. There was a laminate wood floor and no carpet, which was very clean and dust free). Breakfast was as expected for the price- cheap coffee, waffle maker, cereals and toast. No eggs,unfortunately and they used styrofoam cups which are so bad for the environment. But for the price who can complain? The hotel os walking distance to McDonald’s and about 10 minutes drive from downtown Binghamton. I would definitely stay here again.
