My 6 year old can confirm that the half moon do the best pizza and chips she's ever had! Mummy thinks they have the best Sauvignon 😏 we enjoyed a lovely dinner together, in our friendly local pub. Great staff and a good selection of food and drink. Highly recommend!

Rang last minute to book a table and they were able to squeeze us in, moved us to a bigger table before we ate when it became available. Excellent food. Lovely staff, really nice to have the presence and attentiveness of the landlord and landlady - what a lovely couple!

Booked for a club Xmas party Excellent food generous portions and friendly and prompt service .All members of staff very friendly, hospitable professional and helpful . Our party booked all six rooms and all were very pleased with the spacious.well decorated chalet style accommodation with excellent en-suite bathrooms , A good selection of local ales , Superb beautifully cooked locally sourced ingredients for both the evening meal and the full English Breakfast , A very welcoming and enjoyable evening and overnight stay . Highly recommended 👍

We had a two night stay here booking two rooms - visiting family. Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy and warm with tea making facilities and toiletries. The bar and eating area were hard floored and dog friendly. Nicely decked out for the festive season. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The food was all delicious. We ate here both nights and we all enjoyed our meals. Staff were very helpful with me being coeliac and had gluten free options on the menus and had GF Yorkshire puddings and GF gravy for my Sunday roast. We had a short walk around the immediate area and there are public footpaths dotted about but most of our walk was on the quiet roads. We would all recommend and would love to visit again.

Great village pub with lovely accommodation and wide choice of very tasty food. Atmosphere was very friendly and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful location. Quiet but subtly lively. I'd love to come back to rekindle my experience especially in the summer months. Had an amusing conversation with the landlady and one of the pub's regulars about spam! And not the email type.

Wonderful place to stay, it provided everything we wanted. We were made welcome, the room was very good value. It was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The pub provided good food, Would definitely recommend it.

The staff in the pub are very friendly and the food is delicious, the portions are very generous. The pub is a member of camera so some nice real ales to choose from. The room was basic but clean and comfy with tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits. We would definitely stay again

Visited September 24. Have been visiting this lovely pub and Inn for the past 30 years due to my links with the nearby 100th Museum at Thorpe Abbotts . My American friends has supper and it was super , the shrimp cocktail was up there with the best, my vegetarian lasagna was delicious. We stayed 3 nights and the breakfast was also delicious..see photo. The rooms have been upgraded and the owners seem to be passionate about investing in their business and making sure customers are happy .the serving staff are lovely particularly Helen who works so hard and courteously to make sure you have everything you need. Highly recommend this pub for its amenities and a stay in beautiful tranquil Norfolk
