Manor House Inn

The Manor House Inn in Ditcheat is a beautifully restored 17th-century village pub/inn that has been restored with great care and sensitivity. Our room was charming, cosy, and spotless, with thoughtful touches that made it feel truly special — we were welcomed with fresh milk and homemade cookies, which was such a lovely gesture. Every detail feels carefully considered, from the warm, inviting decor to the delicious and well-presented breakfast. The whole place has a wonderful spirit and character. The manager was exceptionally kind and helpful, making us feel right at home. I would highly recommend staying here — and we’ll certainly be returning.

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The Manager was such a great host. He always had a warm smile and welcoming chat . We shared a birthday. The food was superb. Breakfast was delicious part buffet /part cooked to order with an extra touch of turmeric and ginger shots . The rooms are stylish and comfortable. There is a great outside area for summer evening drinks .The interior had a lot of character. A real fire for cooler days. As someone previously said it is not pretentious just perfect for a short stay. I left some shoes and they called to let me know. Never known that before . Thank you . Highly recommended.

I wouldn’t say Manor House is my nearest local but it’s just close enough to make it into the list of “which one shall we go to this week?” and it does not disappoint! If you’re looking for somewhere new that still feels as nice as places like The Talbot, The Three Horse Shoes and The Bradley Hare. Really impressed with the portion sizes, reasonably priced food and drinks and exceptional locally sourced food! The staff are personable, approachable and deliver good service. Shoutout to Fox who manages the restaurant! She’s incredible!

We were staying in the village and decided to go for dinner The staff are friendly welcoming and helpful The restaurant was beautiful. Food was excellent so delicious and cooked to perfection The bread and oils was delicious Everything about this place is amazing

Sunday evening roast was perfect , lovely setting . The service we received from Helen was outstanding. Nothing was too much bother , great with the kids , how hospitality is done properly . 5 star. Please start doing the Malbec by the glass . Thank you . 😊

I rarely write reviews, but our stay at The Manor House Inn was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share our experience with anyone considering a visit, you absolutely should! The inn is a charming spot with a stunning garden that enjoys sunlight all day, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The food was genuinely outstanding, the menu is extensive, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Every member of staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed as a large family group, taking over most of the rooms, and every single one of us had a fantastic time. Our children were made to feel especially welcome and were wonderfully well looked after throughout our stay. Breakfast was simple, fresh, and delicious, the perfect start to each day. Booking was a breeze, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate every request. I phoned just a few days before our arrival with a slightly unusual request: arranging for someone to come and do our hair at the pub before our event. The team handled it effortlessly. They also made sure our babysitters were comfortable and supported while they looked after the kids during the wedding reception we were attending. The whole experience was faultless, warm, welcoming, and memorable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly, highly recommended!
