Dolgun Uchaf Historic B&B and Self Catering Cottages in Snowdonia

We arrived here at the end of our Southern Irish tour. We were not sure what to expect and we had a room inside the main house. It was old, extremely quirky but so totally full of character and we loved our stay for 3 nights. Our room was upstairs and it had a nice big bed and a large ensuite. The quirkiness of the room that was on a slope and had creaking floors was fantastic. Everywhere was extremely clean and so very comfortable we totally loved our stay here. We had no issues whatsoever and it was a place we could sit and relax and we found some great places to eat breakfast and also evening meals. Tge Ship was great for evening meals, well priced and quality but you need to book. The Ponty cafe served the best breakfast we had all trip. We had a real blast and will be back again soon.

We came here for one night as we wanted to watch planes in the Mach loop. We had a fantastic stay. We arrived later than planned so the car park was a little busy, however this was very quickly rectified for us! We stayed in room 2. It was a beautiful room, very clean, fully stocked with teas, coffees, hot chocolate etc. The mini fridge was a great addition! Bathroom was lovely and clean. The main house still had traditional characteristics that really added to the feel of the place. Beautiful location, and the camp site looked great too! The WiFi was free and fast, and a welcome pack with all the essential details for nearby towns etc was brilliant. We visited the recommended cafe too and it was the best breakfast we’ve ever had!! Thank you again!

We stayed in the family room of the guesthouse, in this former rural cottage, in an attractive setting. It has been very beautifully converted, and the room had everything we needed. Dolgellau is just down the road for meals. Close by is the exciting Torrent Path, where walkers can enjoy rough water tumbling over boulders, overhanging trees and lush ferns. Very dramatic when the river is in spate I should think. There are adjacent self catering cottages too.

The cottage was fantastic, warm and clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of privacy but staff available if needed and staff were very friendly and helpful. The views are spectacular, there is a large private patio with firepit and small garden to enjoy and it was so peaceful, we had our own private parking space next to the cottage. We will definitely return and stay longer next time.

Amazing location, away from it all. Great view of the countryside from the verandah. The property itself was really spacious and more than ample for our family. A super find, and great place to stay when holidaying in Wales!

We recently stayed in room 7 it was great especially as our family, grandchildren & friends were all camping here too. The room was cosy the bed was the best I have ever slept in. Towels were lovely & fluffy & a lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water. We had to cross a cute stream to get to our room which had a nice little garden. The room was spotlessly clean, lots of tea & coffee etc. We loved it!
