We stayed here for 1 night and were made to feel very welcome. The room had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Tea/coffee in the room, a smart TV, wonderfully heated with a large radiator that you can control the temperature of. The bathroom was spacious and good shower. Breakfast was brilliant. A good selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurts. Then freshly cooked hot breakfast. We had poached eggs and bacon on toast 👌 Thank you to Margaret and staff. P.s, it was a treat to get to meet the cats too 😍

We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay at Ivy House, where we were warmly welcomed by the B&B Owner, Duncan, who continued to be hospitable and friendly throughout our stay. It is located very conveniently in the centre of this pretty little village. Clean comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast!

Very welcoming great little guest house in the middle of the picturesque town of Dolgellau. Rooms are refreshed daily and all little touches are brilliant. The staff are all great too especially Suzy who is just the cutest (not in a creepy way, shes a cat)

B&B was clean, our bathroom had been recently refurbished and modern with good shower and shower gels etc which was a nice touch. Rooms have character and oddly shaped, quirky. Host/all staff were friendly. Lots of towels, towels and teas etc were replenished when we were out during the daytime. Very good breakfast - I was very pleasantly surprised as other milks (soya/almond) and soya yoghurts and staff remembered vegan and were very friendly and attentive. Theres games in the lounge room which was a nice touch. We didn’t have any coffee in our room which I think was a slight oversight ! Also no parking - we carried on the road and parked around 500m away which wasn’t an issue but something to note. Otherwise really good stay, good value for money and close amenities.

Lovely little hotel in the centre of Dolgellau. Low key and relaxed atmosphere with very friendly owner and staff, good food and comfortable bedroom. It is well located in a quaint village centre. You can simply explore from the door! Parking can be a bit tricky at peak times but ask the owner who will advise. We were able to park in the village square (after 6pm) and didn't have to move the car until after 10am the next morning.

I booked this last minute as I wanted to go to the nearby Mach Loop for photography. Ivy House is a really lovely place, comfortable and a quiet room with everything that I needed. Breakfast is superb and such a great choice with a lot of thought gone into it. It was my first time here and it will definitely not be my last. It is well situated in the town and Dolgellau is such a lovely place that I have always by-passed it in the past; a real gem. Duncan is really interesting and goes out of his way to give you information and tips. The staff are really pleasant, polite and friendly and that is all you need for a great stay. Just brilliant!

The Ivy House was a wonderful place to stay! We randomly stopped in Dolgellau on our way to Conwy and found the Ivy House right when we entered town. We didn't have a pre-booked reservation, but luckily there was a room available for the night. Duncan and the entire staff were welcoming, funny and extremely knowledgeable about the town and surrounding areas. We really loved their insight on the places to see and where to go around Wales. Our room was lovely, clean and tidy. The bathroom was fully modernized and the shower was amazing after a long day on the road as well! Breakfast is the morning was also lovely!

Great host who offered semi secure, out of eyesight parking for our bikes. Breakfast was good and filling. The waiting woman Jean was a treasure. She was real first class, very attentive and proactive Room was a bit cramped with the dogs but manageable. Clean and tidy. Down side was the noise from the road/street at nigh or early morning….. Not the guest houses fault though.

Great B&B clean nice rooms comfortable bed hot fresh breakfast shower was clean and worked great good location enjoyed a stroll around Dolgellau town kitchen staff were pleasant helpful I would definitely recommend and I would stay there again
