Hotel Tropical Sands Dominical

Just had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tropical Sands. The owners, Amy and Ken, set a great tone and the staff follow their laid back yet friendly, helpful, and attentive way. Marta, Loren, and Claire are welcoming and interesting people. The hotel setting is really cool. Walking through the gate you’re transported to a jungle vibe with birds chirping and amazing vegetation that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of a rain forest despite being adjacent to the beach and a short walk to the town center. The restaurant across the street quickly became a favorite. The rooms are efficient and exceptionally clean. Looking forward to staying there again.

I got to stay at this little hidden gem for 3 nights. The owner, Amy, is absolutely amazing to work with. Her staff (Cassia and Patty, and Alice (the maid) are all so nice and responsive to whatever you need. The room is super comfortable and I sleep like a rock there. The community kitchen option is great as well. It's a short 3 minute walk to the beach and the entire town is walkable. The staff can guide you wherever you need to go. I highly recommend it.

The hotel was perfectly situated near the beach and within walking distance of the main area of town. This provided a quiet and safe place to launch my daily explorations. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The commons area was very warm and inviting and where I met a number of really awesome people. The staff helped me with ideas for dinning and activities, all of which were excellent! Staying at Tropical Sands Hotel made me want to buy a place nearby. I would stay at this hotel any time I visit Dominical, which I hope to do again soon. Simply the best.
