1 Logis à Domme - Piscine & Spa

We stayed six nights in this wonderful and romantic inn located in the charming hilltop town of Domme. The only thing better than sipping wine in the bucolic garden overlooking the valley was the friendliness of hosts Helene and Francois. They were so incredibly attentive, making recommendations and dinner reservations for us. The inn is perfectly located for exploring the Dordogne's many attractions and for canoeing and biking. The antique-filled room was spotless with a modern bathroom and a refrigerator that contained a bottle of local wine. The breakfast (which is extra) was scrumptious and filling ...and even more delightful when eating it in the garden. But for all the amenities, the best reasons for staying here are the hosts themselves (and their cute dogs).

We were warmly welcomed at this property. We could tell the owners take special care in small details to provide a delightful experience for their guests. They went out of their way to help us find a place to eat dinner since we visited during the end of the season and most restaurants were closed. The breakfast was lovely, and we enjoyed the company of the dogs and the local cat. Our room was beautiful, the decor top notch. You will be delighted to stay here.

This is a fantastic B&B located just inside the walls of the medieval town of Domme. Helene and Francois were wonderful hosts, as were their 3 extraordinarily friendly dogs and lap cat. They have a huge gorgeous interior garden in which it is a pleasure to sit and relax. Our room had everything one could possibly want, including air conditioning and a mini refrigerator. We loved it here! An excellent breakfast included fruit, crepes, yogurt, and eggs to order. Domme is conveniently located near the river towns of La Roque Gageac and Beynac, and offers opportunities for canoeing on the Dordogne. Sarlat is an easy 20 drive, although Domme has several excellent restaurants.

My wife and I spent 7 nights at 1 logis à Domme, using the hotel as a base for exploring the Dordogne. It's not an exaggeration to say that this was one of the most delightful places we've stayed anywhere in the world. Our room was just off the beautiful garden. Both room and garden had breathtaking views. The room was huge, with a king bed and fireplace. The room was elegantly decorated in an eclectic Asian motif. The ample bathroom had both tub and shower and two sinks. The pool and spa were relaxing after days of walking and driving. It was difficult to choose a spot to read or have a drink: the palatial room; the lovely garden, carefully tended by Hélène; or the cozy library, stocked with an inviting book collection. Hélène and François were the most gracious hosts imaginable, attentive but not overbearing. They served a delicious and elegantly presented breakfast. They had recommendations for every request, whether for restaurants, walks (with maps), sites to visit, or auto mechanics. Their three affectionate dogs were adorable. We were sad to leave, feeling that we were just starting to get to know Hélène and François. We'll just have to return.
