Don Det Hotel

I recently stayed in Little Eden (also called Dondet Hotel) with my partner. This review needs to be read in the light that it is intended in that accommodation offerings in Don Det are limited and not of a high standard. Also, the island is only just reopening post covid. The hotel is fine - it’s a little tired but it’s clean. The bathroom, like all bathrooms in low budget hotels, is a wet room. It was clean and spacious. There are no bikes to rent / borrow and you need to source that from another shop on the island but that is relatively easy. Contrary to the photos there is no pool. The current partnership has broken down and the pool no longer serves the hotel. Do not expect to be able to use the pool. Breakfast is ok but basic - bread rolls; pancakes and eggs with some limited fruit offerings and cordial rather than fresh juice. The staff are nice but some of their English is below standard, however, the owners English is exceptional and she is very helpful.

Beau cadre avec petit bâtiment avec 1 étage autour d'un jardin bien entretenu. Attention: il n'y a plus de piscine car les propriétaires ont divorcé et c'est Monsieur qui l'a gardée et nous n'avons donc pas pu y accéder. Chambre simple mais correcte avec sdb tout en un ( pas de bac pour la douche). Petit déjeuner servi sur une grande terrasse donnant sur le Mékong c'est sublime. Il y avait des vrais crêpes excellentes. Diner sur place commandé à l'avance par notre guide et servi à l'heure. Simple mais très copieux et gouteux. Service très avenant.
