Baraza Resort and Spa Zanzibar

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Baraza Resort & Spa – Paradise Found! After an unforgettable safari through Kenya and Tanzania, we wrapped up our adventure with a stay at Baraza Resort and Spa in Zanzibar—and let me just say, it was the perfect grand finale. Baraza is one of those places where every detail has been carefully crafted to create pure luxury, peace, and pampering. The Villa: Our villa was over the top—spacious, elegant, and beautifully decorated with Turkish/Sultan-style touches. Huge closet and bathroom, a comfortable sitting area, and our own private plunge pool (a little chilly, but lovely nonetheless). We were steps from the beach loungers, and the area was quiet, serene, and wonderfully relaxing. ️ The Food: Every meal was excellent, but the standout was a private seafood lunch on the beach—easily one of our favorite moments. We also loved the elaborate breakfast buffet (seriously impressive) and the attentive service at every meal. From drinks to dessert, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. ️ The Vibe: Baraza knows how to make you feel like royalty. We didn’t leave the resort for two full days and had zero regrets. Between the beach loungers assigned just for us, the drinks and snacks delivered with a smile, and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere—this was our slice of paradise.

Even the hotel foyer makes you swoon! And it just gets better from there. Our villa for 5 was beautiful and well appointed. The vets were so comfortable and the staff kept it impeccably clean. Meals and service were five star, indeed! Angela was our personal concierge and she did not miss a detail. We enjoyed a couples massage and it was exemplary. Wish we had more time to relax and enjoy all of the amenities, but from there we took our kids (teenager and 20-somethings) on the snorkel tour. Do this! The sea life was beautiful and the reef very much alive! Pool and beach were beautiful and we spent hours lazing around, recuperating from 8 days on safari. Not only would we return again and again to this piece of paradise, we truly did not want to leave.

My son and I spent 5 days here after safari. It’s a beautiful hotel, the grounds are stunning and the 2 room villa was very comfortable. Service was excellent throughout, the standard of the food was extremely high and we felt welcomed and cared for. We didn’t have any difficulty finding a sunbed by the pool or on the beach and were well served with drinks while there. We took a trip into Stone Town, arranged by the hotel, which was very interesting. All in all a very special stay.

Excellent quality and lovely attentive stuff. Always had a look at you an your needings. The rooms were just great of excellent quality and were very very clean. The food was very good. A option for every taste. No problem to get a kids menu but they are also able to change main dishes a little bit for the little ones.

We had an amazing stay at Baraza Resort and Spa. Enormously friendly staff that were helpful with everything you needed, quick response. Beautiful villa and surrounding areas. Clean and a fantastic athmosphere. The food was top of the line. A place I like to return too.

We are fortuitous enough to have stayed in some incredible hotels around the world including the Seychelles, Maldives, Thailand, USA, Hong Kong and Japan to name but a few. However, Baraza topped the lot both in terms of personal service (NOTHING is too much trouble) and facilities. The gym and full service spa are fantastic and our villa was simply stunning. Perhaps most worthy of note was the food, whether it was a buffet (which was nothing like a buffet in the usual sense … speciality food stations galore from stir fry to sushi and sashimi and never a grain of rice out of place), a la carte or table d’hote (which was never actually a ‘set menu’ as if you didn’t like the whole lobster or the alternative choice they would happily substitute for something else!), it was all incredible. Whilst desserts at most luxury hotels look stunning invariably they never taste as good as they look! At Baraza they tasted even better! We would particularly like to thank Baraza for making us feel so special without adding the usual ‘extra’ to the bill. We have regularly been offered a romantic ‘chef’s table for 2’ on the beach when staying at some gorgeous resorts, usually at an extra cost of hundreds of pounds. Not at Baraza, we were surprised at lunch time one day with exactly that which was truly fantastic and then again one evening in a candle lit location next to the pool. Both were provided free of charge and were the highlight of our stay. Well done Baraza, all of your 5 star reviews are throughly deserved. We will be back!
