Forest Hotel

We had our Christmas dinner here, there were 17 of us and I have got to say as always the food was just fabulous and very enjoyable. A Big shout out to Dan the chef your food is amazing! We are coming back again this Sunday for a lovely Roast. Thank you for having us Darren & Juliette

We went as a party of 6 for the NYE party and had a great, really great time. Dinner dance type do but without the formalities. Causal dress and buffet food which was really good, loved the lobster rolls and chicken skewers. Place was full but not overly packed. DJ was great and what was really nice was it was very multigenerational, good mix of ages.

Katie and crew ,what stars .. Mum lived in Dorridge and Knowle since 1980. Brilliant venue for her celebration of life . Lovely function room excellent buffet menu and morecthan happy to make a couple of tweeks The room with bar well layed out and We order food for 55 ....plenty left over and the quality was fantastic, excellent sandwiches, fresh make sausage rolls ,goats cheese tarts ,scotch eggs (posh ) 😋. We ask for a small cone of goujons of fish and chips as a nod to Mum's favourite meal in later life and it was not a problem. Tea and coffee. Great food, excellent service with friendly helpful staff. The Mcphun clan would like to thank the Forest staff for a fantastic celebration and farewell to our Mum . Excellent. Four of us went out and each couple had the sharing board Sunday dinner. By far the best meal we have eaten out in many years. There was more than enough to eat and it was hot, tasty and succulent.Well done The Forest ! Highly recommended

60th Birthday Party Held my husband’s surprise 60th birthday party on the 1st June. Started ringing venues at the beginning of May 2024, as it was a last minute surprise. Eventually, I found the perfect place for the party it was local for me but an added bonus for my guest. As it is just 10 minutes off the M42 motorway and opposite the train station Katie (events coordinator ) was so helpful . Nothing was too much trouble for her, irrespective of how trivial it was. (I had many queries ) Katie, provided her expertise and experience on food choices, setting /layout of the room to ensure the night was perfect for my husband. On the evening of the event , I met with Sam and his team. They were organised, professional, friendly and ensured everything was perfect on his arrival. All guests commented on the food , which was outstanding!( thank you to the chef and kitchen staff). It was a perfect evening for my husband. I would definitely recommend The Forest for any party! Thank you to everyone involved making it a night to remember for all.

This hotel seems to be trying hard to come up to a high standard, but isn’t quite there yet. The staff were lovely, smart and tried exceptionally hard to sort out the issues we had. The menu was interesting, but only delivered an average meal for quite a high price. The small room had a wonderful, large, comfy bed but some of the decor was tired. The windows looked out over a real mess, that was very off-putting, and the radiator was stuck on full, the adjustment had fallen off and was on the floor. The room was over, or next to, a loud extractor fan from the kitchen. A member of staff, Joe, was brilliant. He came to the room to fix the radiator and assured us the extractor would stop soon, and it did. We slept very well and had a peaceful night. Breakfast was right up my street, well done and thank you.
