This hotel could have been so much better if only.........we did not have to wait from 10am to 4.45pm for a room. We were told check is was at 4pm. No room even then... I arrived soaking wet as a rain storm was passing over just as I stepped out of the taxi. To say I was drenched would have been an understatement. Reception staff clearly saw the state of me, but I am still waiting to be offered a towel to dry off.. On the last day a couple told us they only arrived on the same day as us at 2pm and were in their room by 2.30pm And yes it was the SAME standard of room as ourselves, they were in fact 2 rooms from ours. We felt totally discriminated against, disappointed and very angry! Very very poor customer service even if I didn't have to sit in wet clothes all that time. When I went to reception,absolutely NO apology whatsoever. Totally unacceptable. Staff training a must! Customer service girls were better as I did finally get an apology on the last day of our stay from them, after I approached them with this information. The manager did however manage to get dye marks removed from 2 pieces of clothing as when we arrived, my case was left outside during the downpour, redulting in quite a lot of my clothes getting wet. Just a horrible start to what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. We loved eating at The Mahogany restaurant. Lovely food and superb staff.
