My husband and I stayed at Seashells on 4/23/24. It was very quaint, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The town itself was beautiful and it was nice to walk around, although most things were closed since it was a Tuesday. The view of the beach from the breakfast table was incredible, and the large floor to ceiling windows in the common area made the space feel warm, open, and welcoming. The room was all we needed - comfortable bed, chairs, table, and bathroom. Dympna was very responsive via email. Eric was warm and welcoming the next morning when he served us an incredible full Irish breakfast and coffee. The other guests we shared breakfast with were friendly and even gave us some recommendations for the remainder of our trip. It was a nice break from larger towns and a great way to recharge for a night before continuing on our road trip.

Absolutely lovely. We sadly were only able to stay for one night, but we will hopefully be back for a longer trip at some point. Our room (the family room) was spacious with a beautiful view of the sea. The hosts were great, and check in was easy. 10/10, highly recommend.

Delighful views but can hear fellow guests/ hosts snore and urinate! Unfortunately the rooms have zero sound proofing. We could hear fellow guests urinate so clearly that it sounded as if they were using our bathroom. And then the ensuing flush and the cistern filling sounded more like an electric garage door opening. The owner then had the audacity to tell me to ‘quieten down’ when opening a pedal bin the communal area because ‘ it’s only 7 o clock and people are still sleeping!!’ And we had the misfortune of sleeping above (or below) a king snorer. Pretty much zero sleep last night; can’t wait for the 5 hour drive today. Alas sea shells not a very welcoming nor relaxing place; won’t be coming back here again.

We stayed at Seashells for one night as a stop off before visiting family in Clonmel....well what a lovely place and I could look the amazing view all day....hosts were very friendly and breakfast was tasty....would stay again when we are visiting family.......what a find, we loved it

Rooms are nice and clean . No TV so it's ok for me . Breakfast very poor . We never had Breakfast like that , two eggs small like from pigeon , cheap beacon ,two small sliced and that was only this served for breakfast No coffee machine only instant coffee . We booked for two nights but we need to back home after one nights but unfortunately they charged us for two nights even if we didn't use bedroom and they don't need to change bed linen and towels or we haven't breakfast for another morning . I was suggested to charge us half amount that would be fair but they not agree . We're are Tavel to b&b and hotels but that was bad experience . I not recommend this place 🚫

This was my second time to stay in Seashells bed and breakfast and I will be back. Eric and Dympna have a gem here. The location on the seafront cannot be beaten. There is a lovely public area to sit down and enjoy the most amazing vista out to sea. Bedroom was v large, v comfortable and spotless. Lovely brekkie cooked to order. We ate dinner down in the Strand Tavern and returned to bed and breakfast and enjoyed a glass of wine looking out at the sea.

This was our second trip back to seashells and we loved it. The views from our room and the breakfast area are second to none. Hosts are fab as always and Eric was lovely to my little girl. We love duncannon for a little break before school starts up again. Will def be back.
