Dunhuang jiayuan hotel

Location is good. Near the night market. The funny part were the daily asking from the young housekeeper if we are checking out when she saw us leaving the room. Can be quite annoying 🤣 The receptionist were friendly and helpful though! Thumb up for them👍

The location is super close to the night market and close to many bus stops to the main tourist spots. It is really clean, well organised and once we arrived the lady at reception upgraded the room we booked ( the budget one with no window) to one with the window and so we decided to extend our stay. All the people working here are nice, helpful and with a big and wonderful smile The room is spacious and you have also the television or/ and a wonderful view from the window 😍 Hot water and the heater SUPER!

The room matched my expectations, considering city, price and location. The room was clean, the only problem was that there was always a little amount of toilet paper and we had to ask for it twice at the front desk.

From the exterior the Dunhuang Jiayuan Hotel looks like a traditional Chinese hotel. But the room is furnished with all the modern trappings that are so essential to a weary traveler. The bedroom and attached bathroom are very clean, hot showers readily available and the bed comfortable. The hotel is right next to the Shazhou night market and within walking distance to all the transportation hubs which makes visiting Dunhuang attractions easy. And the service team was fantastic. One and all they were approachable and very helpful. The lovely lady who checked us in not only upgraded our room but she even managed to get us seats on a Western Dunhuang tour which was one of the highlights of our already amazing trip! Another recommended local dishes for us to try and we were amused to see the name of one such restaurant on a road sign! In short we love Dunhuang Jiayuan Hotel. Thank you lovely ladies for making our stay there a very satisfying one 👍

Location is great as it is right in the city centre, a stone’s throw away from the night market and loads of shops and restaurants around. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was upgraded to have a window, staff would help me get a taxi and tell the driver where I wanted to go ie to Mogao caves and bus station. Another staff would help me get my laundry done by a third party and placed them in my room when it was delivered. Room had basic necessities ie hot water, working aircon, clean toilet though carpet needs a it of care. Overall very satisfied for the price paid.
