St Ives Boutique Hotel

The hotel was very good breakfast was great and very professional service from Lesley the room was very nice and clean beds were comfortable the small bar was a nice touch Kenny was very friendly and helpful with any information my wife and I had a great time and we will return in the near future thank you very much Kenny and Lesley for a great time David and May Nicol

A spotless bedroom with everything we needed. Breakfast was the most healthy of our trip and a delicious alternative option to a "Full Scottish". Owners welcoming and willing to assist. Great views from front facing rooms, which sadly weren't available when we booked. Happy to return.

The breakfast is outstanding with some great choices. The bed is very comfy. The hotel also has a smart lounge overlooking the loch although we did not use it. What was disappointing was the relatively small window in our room overlooking the loch and the very large sofa bed which meant that it was not possible to sit and enjoy the view from the room. The other disappointment was the shower room which fell as if it had been built into an extended cupboard as the doors into it were 2 cupboard doors! Whilst the facilities in the room were fine they were not luxury. Also be aware that there are not many restaurants in Dunoon and they get fully booked. We eventually found somewhere on our 7th call!

Trip to see Brother in law and family in Dunoon. St. Ives had a stunning sea front location with top views. Dedicated Car parking available to frontage . Convenient location to town centre including bars and restaurants. Bedroom was very nice and clean with everything we needed. 1st floor sea facing lounge is a lovely place to meet with others, as is the ground floor bar / breakfast room. Breakfast was fabulous. Bar service available and very reasonably priced with good service. Kenny and Lesley were great hosts throughout, highly recommended.

As a non driver I wanted somewhere to stay were transport wasn’t needed, the well located St Ives, is a short walk from Dunoon Pier along Victoria Parade a wide footpath by the water, leading you up the garden path to the door. I booked the Little Cumbrae a single room, described as compact and cosy, so I was expecting a fairly small room and wasn’t disappointed. I’ve never found this an issue when I’m asleep or not there, once in bed the room didn’t feel small, if you need more space, for reading, watching television or just looking out of a bigger window the lounge is next door. The views over the Bay from the Little Cumbrae provide a pleasant start to the day, as does the en-suite with shower, (every thing nice and clean). All the quality extras I’d hope for and frequently don’t get are provided, on the hospitality tray. I enjoyed the fresh coffee and breakfast each morning. Kenny and Lesley offered a friendly service, accommodating my requests were possible. If there’s one downside to visiting the St Ives, it’s that you need two or three days too fully appreciate all that’s on offer. I’d definitely hope to stay at the St Ives when visiting Dunoon.

Had a lovely stay at St. Ives Hotel who were very accommodating to us and the hotel itself was spotless. Fab facilities for the children and the breakfast was unreal. Best porridge I’ve ever tasted! The boys pancake stack was also very impressive! The room was perfect for us as a family of 4, the bunk beds for the kids was perfect. Lovely hot shower. And nice amenities in the room. Great hosts and we would highly recommend.
