Lovely hotel in the middle of Durham city. Only 10 minutes walk to the famour Durham Cathedral. Breakfast is great too.

Fantastic location. But charged twice for my stay. Prepaid with trip.com during booking. Hotel charged again upon checkout.

Stayed here for one night staff really friendly and helpful. Room very clean and modern well kept, pillows were a bit uncomfortable but bed was amazing. Breakfast was cold but yummy would definitely stay again and recommend hotel

Excellent location, let down by paid only parking for blue badge holders. I did street park for free, but was surprised that the hotel itself charged for parking in a blue badge space with a valid blue badge. The room was OK, bed comfy ish. Marriott breakfasts are always good, and this was no exception.

Wonderful hotel! The location was perfect for visiting the city, just a hop over the bridge to get to the centre. The room was really spacious with a large bed, sofa and coffee table, desk, and plenty of room in between. There was a kettle and tea/instant coffee as well as a Nespresso machine, and a mini fridge, which came in very handy for cooling drinks. The bathroom was clean and had a good layout with a shower screen over the tub (no spills!) and plenty of soap holders. There was also lush This Works shampoo and conditioner and really nice shower gel. It felt much more luxurious than we expected - even providing bath robes and slippers. We had a second floor room with a cathedral view (we could hear the bells!), overlooking the road outside. Traffic calmed down at night and did not disturb our sleep, and the hotel was quiet overall. The room had been cleaned well, but there were slight oversights: the front of the desk and coffee maker handle, for example, showed historic spills; the window (with modern additional pane to create double glazing) had other guests' forehead- and nose prints on them (we discovered ourselves how easy it is to be taken in by the view, lean forward, and forget that there's a window there...), but the bathroom, bed, and floors were absolutely hygienic and we felt comfortable nevertheless. Staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

DO NOT STAY HERE – Terrible Management & Unjust Treatment I had a horrible experience at Delta Hotels Durham Royal County and strongly advise against staying here. - Serious booking issues: The hotel’s system incorrectly recorded our reservation, causing major confusion at check-in. - Wrongful detainment: At check-out, the staff falsely claimed we hadn’t paid for all nights, refused to accept proof of payment, and detained my family members until Trip.com had to intervene. - Rude and unprofessional staff: The hotel staff were dismissive, refused to listen, and showed no concern for our distress. - Financial & emotional damage: Due to their incompetence, we missed our train, lost valuable belongings, and suffered immense stress. - No apology, no accountability: Even after their mistake was confirmed, the hotel never apologized or took responsibility. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. If you value peace of mind and fair treatment, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

Spacious room with huge bed, sofa and tables Bathroom is huge but shower area is quite small. Location is great. The room is abit dusty but the bed was clean. Overall We enjoyed the stay.

Our stay was very good. Very centrally located so could walk to restaurants, Cathedral and market. Reception staff and dining room staff extremely helpful. The only fault I found was that no one came to make the bed or replenish the tea/coffee, milk and sugar supplies in the room. Kept having to ask reception for supplies and they were most accommodating. I would stay at this hotel again.

Very few amenities in the room compared to other popular chain hotels. The room was like a sauna the heating temperature gauge did not work, it was always roasting even at temperature of 16.. Very unpleasant night.

The room very samll and give us without any veiw berkfast is ok no swim ball is difcult to find entrance

Service and reception were prompt and efficient. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Bar and gym was perfect for our needs. Sadly room furniture and bathroom was tired and needs a revamp but everything is in the room you would need. It was quite the walk to our room taking over ten minutes from reception and needing the use of two lifts. Car parking was not free to residents. Honestly I would go back as we had a good location and hope for a different room.

Location is great. Staff are helpful. I have a great stay at delta!

The hotel is fabulously presnted and situated in the center of Durham County. The clerks are helpful, courtesy of the times~ breakfast is very British menu and ordinary plates not many choices. only one coffee machine is nothing but short for service.
