The lovely licensee Kim took a wasp sting for her guest (me) declaring "It's nothing I'll just rub some vinegar on it." Lol. Becs, the manager was equally kind, helpful & professionally minded as were the staff. I stayed for 2 days in their converted barn which was clean & fresh. Having met my sis we thoroughly enjoyed the homemade chicken & leek pie prepared & cooked by chef Tony. It would be difficult to praise The King & Queen enough. Thanks to all! Tony Guy

Such a lovely find in a quaint peaceful village setting. Bargain at the price paid. Enough to eat for breakfast. Clean room with everything we needed for overnight stay. Had a lovely dinner in the pub. Were made to feel very welcome. Would recommend.

The staff here are always so welcoming. Always treat the kids so lovely and always give the personal touch. Wayne and Becky are brilliant abs go above and beyond every time! Highly recommend to families couples nothing is a problem here. Thanks

Visited this pub at the weekend and it was maybe the 5th or 6th visit. Over a period of time. Previously our experience had been Good hence the return visits. This was far from the previous experiences. The waiting staff were helpful and blameless for the problems. 1/ delay in getting menus 2/ delay in taking the orders 3/ Loooong delay in receiving the food which had obviously been kept hot (dried meat, peas etc) in order to serve all 11 meals at once. (3 kids and 8 adults) .1st choice of red wine "sold out" 2nd choice of red wine " sold aut". The final nail was that by the time we ordered our sweet course the majority of the specials had gone even vanilla ice cream (surely the safest stand-by) was .........."sold out" We did not pay the undeserved service charge (but we diid show our appreciation to the polite and embarrassed waiting staff)
