Langham Hotel Eastbourne

During a recent stay at The Langham Hotel in Eastbourne for my father’s funeral, I found the hotel to be a sanctuary of calm and relaxation, with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that provided much-needed comfort during a sensitive time. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Sue from the housekeeping team, whose kindness and attentiveness were truly remarkable. Sue not only supported me with my luggage but also demonstrated exceptional care when I mentioned my sciatica, taking the time to show me alternative rooms with a bath. Her thoughtful approach and deep knowledge of the hotel’s layout were invaluable, and her selfless assistance made a lasting impression. I hope her outstanding service is duly recognised. The dining experience was of an excellent standard, with both breakfast and dinner options reflecting a level of refined dining I thoroughly enjoyed. Danielle’s service stood out for her genuine warmth and attentiveness. She consistently made me feel comfortable and valued as a guest. Danielle’s ability to anticipate my needs and her approachable, professional manner created an atmosphere where I could truly relax and enjoy each meal. Equally, Chelsea brought a wonderful sense of care and charm to the dining experience. She took the time to ensure that every detail of my meal was perfect, and her engaging and thoughtful nature added a personal touch that made me feel very much at home. Veronica, the restaurant manager, is also deserving of praise for her natural ability to build rapport with every guest. Her warm and spontaneous approach made each dining occasion feel both personal and welcoming. The team at The Langham excelled in delivering service that was professional, compassionate, and consistently thoughtful, making my stay one to remember.

We love staying at The Langham hotel Eastbourne. It's not too large but still retains the professionalism of a hotel rather than a B and B. We stayed for a couple of nights and enjoyed the bar snacks, breakfast (by the sea) and lunches. All the staff are very accommodating and Neil Kirby (the proprietor) Goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. I've notcied that the staff don't change much over the years which makes me think it must be a good place to work too. This place is a firm favourite with us and we're already planning our next trip.

Our room was spacious and spotless The restaurant and staff first class we were a party of four all of us agreed the food was exceptional the lounge area very relaxing comfortable chesterfield settees we are looking forward to our return in June

This is an excellent hotel. Every aspect of its operation is first class. Accommodation, restaurant, service, cleanliness, and staff helpfulness are all outstanding. Location on the seafront could not be bettered. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay - thank you!

Revisiting an old favourite, been a while due to various things. Absolutely brilliant as always, great service, atmosphere recognised by the owner Neil straight away lovely welcome. Great room, excellent bedding, food excellent. Best hotel in Eastbourne staff all polite and helpful. Recommended to everyone

Turkey and Tinsel Dec 2024 We visited with Johnsons coach travel, Warks, and to summarise I would say Langham didn't really want us there. We felt as though everything a trouble for them and they had just taken the booking to fill the rooms. Specific points (without getting too boring) as follows: Twin room at the back of the hotel was actually a single room with an extra single bed shoehorned in. Meals were at a specific time and breakfast too early. Xmas decorations were hardly noticeable and the Christmas "party" entertainment was non existent, a solo singer doing his best, (no criticism) of him. Entertainment was in the basement floor level down steep steps and management had shut the bar for our visit, so anyone requiring a drink of any sort had to tackle the stairs everytime. This was poor! Too cynical of Langhams and its management. Do not go to this place, you will be disappointed. Be warned! No fun times here, only helping to cover the hotels running costs.
