During a recent stay at The Langham Hotel in Eastbourne for my father’s funeral, I found the hotel to be a sanctuary of calm and relaxation, with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that provided much-needed comfort during a sensitive time. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Sue from the housekeeping team, whose kindness and attentiveness were truly remarkable. Sue not only supported me with my luggage but also demonstrated exceptional care when I mentioned my sciatica, taking the time to show me alternative rooms with a bath. Her thoughtful approach and deep knowledge of the hotel’s layout were invaluable, and her selfless assistance made a lasting impression. I hope her outstanding service is duly recognised. The dining experience was of an excellent standard, with both breakfast and dinner options reflecting a level of refined dining I thoroughly enjoyed. Danielle’s service stood out for her genuine warmth and attentiveness. She consistently made me feel comfortable and valued as a guest. Danielle’s ability to anticipate my needs and her approachable, professional manner created an atmosphere where I could truly relax and enjoy each meal. Equally, Chelsea brought a wonderful sense of care and charm to the dining experience. She took the time to ensure that every detail of my meal was perfect, and her engaging and thoughtful nature added a personal touch that made me feel very much at home. Veronica, the restaurant manager, is also deserving of praise for her natural ability to build rapport with every guest. Her warm and spontaneous approach made each dining occasion feel both personal and welcoming. The team at The Langham excelled in delivering service that was professional, compassionate, and consistently thoughtful, making my stay one to remember.
