I'm often guilty of pre-judging 'Guesthouses' and expecting a certain, generally low level of accommodation and service - how wrong could I be about the New England. The welcome and attention to detail from Audrey and Michelle is second to none and the bedrooms show a level of thought and care has been put into them, spotlessly clean, and with great towels and range of toiletries and where many skimp on the quality of the mattress and beds that is not the case at the New England - very comfortable and and a great nights sleep. Breakfast is fabulous with a great selection, all really well cooked (Poached Eggs to perfection) and endless cafetières of coffee. If you're coming down to Eastbourne I would wholeheartedly recommend checking out The New England - it'll exceed your expectations!!

We have just returned from the New England guest house. We have stayed in many Hotels and guest houses over the years, but we have never stayed in one so impeccably clean and comfortable. Andri our host welcomed us on arrival and helped to make our stay outstanding. We highly recommend the New England should you wish to stay in Eastbourne for a few days. Oh, and I forgot to mention the excellent breakfast. We are already planning our next visit.

This was the perfect place to stay and we hate that we aren't staying longer. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. The view is beautiful. We stayed in the family room and it could not have been more perfect. The staff are excellent. We left after a wonderful, full english breakfast. Loved this hotel!

We had a lovely welcome, the room was spotless and decorated beautifully. The whole Hotel was clean and beautiful. Comfy beds and toiletries. Breakfast was tasty, cooked to perfection, a good choice of cooked and cold food. The view of the sea from our balcony. Hospitality second to none.

What a charming little establishment. Looking for a quaint place to stay in Eastbourne, you are going to be hard pressed to go past The New England. Welcomed by Adri we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. There was nothing left undone to ensure that our stay met our needs. Our room was clean and comfortable, while some might find it a bit small, it met our needs nicely. Breakfast each morning set us up well for the day of adventuring that lay ahead. Just don’t be in a hurry to get away early as the breakfast experience is another opportunity where Adri is determined to have all guests satisfied. While street parking may be a little inconvenient there are plenty of spaces available nearby. It is worth noting that there a number of local eating places within walking distance for dinner in the evening

Well what can I say? Everything was absolutely fantastic. Me and my family experienced the warmest welcome from the manager, who was ever so friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is beautifully arranged and clean with a stunning dining room. Our room was flawless, warm and cosy. And my goodness, what a crackin breakfast! Would highly recommend.

We arrived on Thursday for the start of Airborne. From the moment we arrived absolutely nothing was too much trouble from the new manager Audrey, she was warm friendly and accommodating, we managed to get a parking spot, it’s on a first come first served basis, this was a bonus. The New England was impeccably clean. Tea coffee and water, also biscuits and chocolate on pillows on arrival and replenished throughout our 4 night stay. Lovely fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. We had a balcony room which was great, with nice views. Breakfast was faultless! Beautifully presented. Extensive menu even the fussiest of eaters would find something. Having stayed at various other hotels in Eastbourne it’s no wonder we return year after year! Had a lovely stay here with my mum for 2 nights. We were met by the lovely host who was so friendly. Room was clean and we had a view of the sea. Eastbourne Pier is about a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was amazing. Immaculate b and b. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

What a gem! Wonderful decor - bedroom and communal areas comfy and homely and ultra clean.. Fantastic hosts - gave a warm welcome upon arrival and were truly attentive during the Superb breakfast. Ideally situated for the promenade and local amenities. What’s not to like😄
