The hotel is very beautiful, very clean, the sea scenery is very good, the transportation is also very convenient, and near to the sea. Open your eyes and see the sunrise. The boss is also very warm, there is water and milk in the refrigerator, very satisfied!! I love here and want to stay next time. The lack of lift to move luggage is a little inconvenient, but the spacious rooms and warm decor offset all of this

A lovely overnight stay in the Town View room. Room was very clean and modern. Very comfy bed! Staff were all attentive and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice on the menu. Will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

Spent a weekend here as wanted to treat the wife to a trip away. Really well looked after by the staff. As it was off peak and a small hotel they are not always at reception or the bar but they are very good at making arrangements if they are not there. The room was fantastic. Great sea view, really warm, quiet and with blackout curtains. The shower was fine and the room well appointed. We had the chance for a breakfast on the Sunday. It was busy with locals coming in for a treat too but had a fine cooked breakfast. Great stay, thanks

As we live relatively locally to Eastbourne, we'd walked the seafront and passed Port Hotel frequently. It looks great from the outside and we wondered what it would be like inside. Now we know. We had a Seaview room, and it was lovely. A beautiful view of the sea and pier with a small table and binoculars to enhance the view Tea and coffee were very nice. Shower/bathroom lovely...also with a sea view. The bed was very comfy and we didn't experience too much road noise. Eive (apologies if I've spelt that wrong), was lovely and welcoming, 10/10. A great night's stay.

absolutely nothing everything was perfect from start to finish, beautiful food at reasonable price, rooms were spotless and very comfy beds. staff were polite and very accommodating. highly recommended, most definitely will be returning, thanks again to everyone at port hotel

I accidentally left my own pillow, which I always travel with, in my room when I checked out, taking theirs with me by mistake. First I knew of this was when the Manager emailed us to say that “a pillow has been taken” and “replaced” and that they’d therefore taken £50 off my card “as per terms and conditions”. I was surprised by the somewhat aggressive tone, given this was quite obviously a mistake rather than some dastardly bait-and-switch plan to get my hands on their bedware, but it was clearly my fault, so I apologised for the mix-up and offered to rectify my error by sending back their pillow so they could refund my £50. But no. The Manager point-blank refused my offer, saying that the hotel wouldn’t accept the return as they now “could not guarantee (my pillow) was free from allergens etc”. Lol. This is obvious and laughable nonsense, but when I asked for further explanation he refused and reiterated that the hotel has the “right to charge this in line with the terms and conditions”. Fine, I’m sure they have that right. But I also have the right to think that taking a not-inconsiderable additional sum from a customer’s card for an obvious and honest mistake, which I’d immediately offered to rectify, is overly officious, needlessly inflexible, and pretty terrible customer service. Rest of the stay was fine, but there are lots of hotels in Eastbourne, so I’d use one of them.

I decided to book 2 nights at Port to round off mine and my partner's anniversary. We have been to Port on a number of occasions both separately and together to stay and for brunch, lunch and dinner. We stayed in the Studio Appartment ( the second time booking this room) we have always received nothing but exceptional service - staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are SO comfortable- the shower, in particular, is beautiful!! We were SO pleased that food is being offered again, after going on a brief hiatus. Albeit at the weekend- (but no worries as plenty of restaurants im the area for nights where food is not served) We came last year for the roast dinner and still can't stop raving about it. We enjoyed dinner on Friday evening- which was very tasty!! Despite having been to Port serveral times, we had never sampled the cocktails...until this time- they were delicious- and SO more-ish, but we were good! We also enjoyed breakfast both mornings which was as delicious as the dinner the night before!! We couldn't recommend this hotel enough- and can't wait to come back soon!
