Explora en Rapa Nui - All Inclusive

First of all, I would give 5 stars except for one flaw that I found. The guides, who are generally knowledgeable and very good, sometimes seem to focus on the Spanish- speaking guests to the exclusion of non-Spanish speakers. This can make for an uncomfortable and less than informative tour for those who don't speak Spanish. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The food and wines were excellent, as were all of the service staff. There were a variety of excursions to choose from, and the staff tried to tailor your choices to your interests and physical abilities. Nathalie was one tour leader who deserved 5 stars. She is a Rapa Nui native who knew a lot about her island's culture and history. She made the tour extremely interesting for all involved. She divided her time between the groups by language, so that no one missed out. She also tried to accommodate the desires of different groups. At Anakena Beach, some in our party wanted to swim and some did not. She made sure that we all had time to do what we wanted and kept everyone informed. It was the best tour offered at this hotel, so ask for Nathalie if you can.

Stayed at this property for 3 days during a visit to Rapa Nuisance (Easter Island). Came with a Four Seasons group. loved this property and the natural feel. rooms are well appointed and roomy. location is convenient. we enjoyed many meals at the location during our stay. Breakfast was great and the dinners were well prepared and tasty. The bar staff goes out of their way to make sure guests are happy as well. Tours to the Moai and other sites can be arranged from this location. All in all we will stay here again when we return to Easter Island!!

We visited Explora Rapa Nui in May of 2024 for 4 days. The resort lived into its reputation of being a luxury all inclusive, including all of the guided experiences around the island. The room was rustic but very comfortable. The food was excellent. All of the guides were terrific. I would definitely suggest, reading up on the history of Rapa Nui prior to visiting (we did not) as this will help contextualize the various sites you will visit. The only thing that we feel Explora could do better is to bring some the cultural experience back to the lodge, with maybe some dance and or music.

Our experience at Explora Rapa Nui was top notch. We felt so welcomed and cared for from the moment we were picked up at the airport. The guidance from the staff in selecting excursions to tailor our vacation made this so much more special. The guides are all top notch as well each brining their own experience to this beautiful location. The accommodations were perfect and relaxing. The food and drink were delicious, with excellent variety and quality. This was the perfect vacation for a combination of activity, relaxation, and rustic luxury.

An absolute treasure! Fourth generation hotel in the heart of Hanga Roa. Perfect location w/easy walkability to anything w/in 10 minutes. Sebastian, Marie and the entire Hare Nua staff were exceptional. Always there to meet us w/a warm smile and loved seeing us enjoying this incredible island. The hotel itself is well appointed w/gorgeous common spaces and an awesome garden in the courtyard. The courtyard has a cute plunge pool and new hot tub. The rooms themselves were great. Very comfortable beds, AC and hot shower. The daily breakfast was a treat and beautifully displayed. Don’t think twice, this is where you want to stay.

Covid interfered with our initial date to visit Easter Island (Rapa Nui) but we finally got there thanks to our excellent travel arrangers at Knowmad Travel. They rescheduled us 3 times and with their contacts we did not lose any money. Jordan arranged our stay at Explora and there is no better place to stay! First of all the grounds are beautiful! The staff extraordinary. Our guides were professional, knowledgeable, really nice and took very good care of us senior citizens! They made sure our experiences were unforgettable and made sure to take pictures of us with the moai. The only improvement could be paving the roads! Most were really bumpy.
