Hummingbird Inn

Perfection! The Hummingbird Inn is a beautiful Victorian, furnished lovingly with every detail for your comfort. Eric is a wonderful host and his breakfasts are…a delight. Each room is unique but all designed for the utmost in comfort. I loved the fire in our room and the Claw foot tub for soaking.

Wonderful. Ever detail is considered. The house and rooms are charming and comfortable. The breakfast was great. Friendly Service. You can tell that inn keeping is a passion for both Erik and Mary. Thank you. Ps. Get a drink at the Charm Bar.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Hummingbird Inn. Eric and Mary were incredible— lovely, thoughtful people with wonderful recommendations. Talking to them was a highlight of the trip. Breakfast each morning was delicious and filling, and we miss starting our days that way. Easton itself also exceeded our expectation— very walkable, even from the inn, but full of shops and restaurants to keep you occupied for days (if you can tear yourself away from the inn!). Cannot recommend enough; plan to go back.

This was an incredibly nice place to stay. The proprietor and chef- Eric was a great host- and he cooked us and presented a wonderful breakfast for us as well. Mary at the desk was super nice and a pleasure for to meet. Our room was very nice- the place was very inviting, Eric's taste in decor for the entire place was outstanding. The location was also great for being able to just walk into town for dinner. In sum, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again.

We had the quirky tower room at the top. Great for us but watch your head if you’re tall. Lovely garden, a wraparound veranda, and the fabulous breakfasts were all wonderful surprises. All due to Innkeeper Eric - he went above and beyond for us

Made the call 2 days before we wanted a room, and luckily, there was one available. We arrived and met, the effervescent and delightful, Mary. She checked us in and even made reservations at a wonderful restaurant for dinner. The room was beautifully appointed and welcoming. On the bed were two big, fluffy bathrobes. I immediately stripped and put one on. Then, much to my poor wife's dismay, began prancing (if you knew me, you would realize that that is not a good look) around the room, trying to look regal. Anyway, I decided to take a shower. I cannot say enough about the shower. From the first second that I entered the water, I was hooked. Best Shower Ever. I stood there in rapture. I do not know whether the other rooms have the same type shower ( I didn't think it proper to go to the other guests and ask to test their showers), but if they do, you are in for a treat. We were in the Cambridge Room. After a long and luxurious shower, we dressed and went to dinner. Mary's restaurant suggestion was spot on. We leisurely walked back to the Inn and sat on the porch for a few minutes. After a short time, one of the other guests came out holding a bottle of bourbon and a glass. I asked him where was my glass, and he went back in and got one. Yikes!! We must be in the South. So, I sat with this gentleman and sipped bourbon. Then another couple came back from dinner and they joined us. Eventually, my wife and bourbon guy's wife piled on. We had an interesting and relaxed conversation; that only complete strangers can have. We were out on the porch for at least an hour (have no idea how long we were there), and then beddy bye. Slept. Woke (always a welcome surprise) and made a bee line to the shower. Ahhhhh! Then down to breakfast. Scrumptious. Eric, the owner and chef, is a master. Stuffed and sated, we checked out, hung around for a little while, talked to Mary then hit the bricks. I highly recommend The Hummingbird Inn. It was a wonderful experience. Maybe we'll see you there. Bring bourbon.
