This is a farm and is outskirts of Piet Retief and what a gem. The rooms are bungalows, small kitchenette, lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, all made with products from the farm. Because it is quite a drive from the nearest town the host has a freezer with a good choice of meals that she will heat up for you and bring to your room. All home made and nicely served. We had a chicken curry, very nice. There are some walks around the farm and I think you can book excursions but we only used it as a stopover.

It is a bit of the regular road, totally worth it though! What a view from the guesthouse. There was also a lot of entertainment for the kids; playground, swimming pool, big garden. The service is perfect; friendly staff, meals and drinks are available, breakfast is extensive.

Dusk to Dawn is such a perfect place, situated in the middle of the way between Kruger Park and St. Lucia at the Indian Ocean, just near by the N2. All rooms and little houses at this guest farm are more than beautiful, full of love and komfortable. Great breakfast, a shop with all you need and wish. For dinner you can prepair in the little kitchen of your room deliciouse meal, cooked to be warmed up from your Host Gudrun Engelbrecht herself. Yummy! The hospitality is even the best! Don’t miss a stop at Dusk to Dawn!

we have been visiting this place for the first time (2 adult plus 1 child 9 y). We loved the wonderful garden and surrounding. The house, we slept in, was wonderfully decorated and we loved the view. The breakfast was delicious and the food you could buy in the deli for take away or preparing in you room was really really good.

When traveling from Jo-berg to Durban, and if you drive around Eswatini, book this B&B! We first considered it as just a stop along the way, but it became an experience in itself! We loved our hostess, the scenery and the fresh (and affordable) food they provide. Fresh from their own or surrounding farms! We played mini-golf and went for a walk around the grounds. We loved that she paid extra attention to the fact that we are on our honeymoon. One of our best stays.

My parents have stayed at Dusk to Dawn a few times, and recommended it to break up our journey from Kruger to Hillcrest. What a delightful experience. The farm is beautiful and you can walk around and look at the animals, including an up close and personal visit with the intriguing alpacas. Gudren was an amazing host and couldn’t do enough for us. Because of the size of our party, she kindly agreed to cater a fully cooked 3-course dinner for us which was served in one of the executive suites we were staying in. Dinner was a delicious 10 out of 10! Breakfast was also lovely, with a full continental breakfast available, plus a menu of various cooked breakfasts. I had scrambled egg with smoked salmon on toast with a tomato pesto. It was wonderful. The rooms are very large and charming, and fully equipped with fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc. The executive suites had full kitchens. Beautiful views, delicious food, lovely rooms and gracious hosts. A perfect place to stay.
