Camping Etxarri

A well maintained site with most pitches shaded by trees in a beautiful wooded area. The small town nearby has a few shops and bars and is five minutes drive or twenty minutes walk. The scenery in this area is spectacular.

We booked the campsite in December via campingred website. Easy reservation and payments on line. I followed this up with a phone call to ask about best pitch with a dog to give some shade. The site is in a quiet location, with no sound from the roads. The swimming pools are lovely and well maintained. The site is a mix of tourers and people with their own accommodation. They also rent out cabins. Our camping pitch was a good size, had water and electricity nearby. The electrical supply was reliable. Toilet facilities were nearby to our pitch and were clean, great hot water and good pressure. There is also a washing machine and dryer as well as a place to wash dishes etc. Staff were lovely and so polite and helpful. There is a cafe and bar which serves basic but good sized meals and pizzas. Why only 4 out of 5? There was some noise on two nights which was not caused by the staff but by people who don't know how to behave, nor with an appreciation of how noise travels. I wish the night guard had been stricter. The site welcomes dogs, we had ours with us and was welcome in reception and the bar upstairs. The cafe has seating outside which is great for the dog. We will be back.

We stayed here using ACSI card with a caravan in May. Great location for hiking in Urbasa. 20 km circular walk direct from campsite. Very quiet this time of year, nice little town nearby. Swimming pool and restaurant not open during our visit .

Excellent service from the lady on reception. I requested an easy to park pitch and she remembered which was great. The facilities are good and clean. The only down side was the noise from the people playing tennis from 5pm until dark. The location is fantastic for walking and dogs are accepted. Will return.

El material de cocina era un poco insuficiente y la entrada estaba totalmente encharcada por las lluvias, estaría bien poner piedras o pasarela. El espacio natural, el verde y los enormes árboles ha sido espectacular. Y la compañía de los pájaros era exquisita.

Camping con todos los servicios, bien situado entre la sierra de urbasa y aralar muchas rutas alrededor y un pueblo acogedor con todos los servicios ,...................,.......................................................
