As a Hilton Gold, almost Diamond, member I do not expect to be nickel and dimed while staying at a Hilton property. There is a reason why I'm building loyalty with a brand, this location very well could derail that decision. As Gold (or Diamond) members, I get a fresh hot breakfast made to order while staying at Garden Inns. With Covid precautions in place I don't get that and I understand. What I don't understand is why I'm being charged for their substitute - a preboxed disappointment of a plain bagel, hard boiled eggs, a piece of fruit, and juice. Not my first choice but it's sustenance I guess. I would never pay extra though for it and should not have. Nothing makes it justifiable to stay here if I don't get any of the perks I'm entitled to (while exercising grace during the pandemic). I can stay at a different Hilton brand or different hotel brand altogether and receive better service and experience even in the midst of this pandemic recovery. I really don't see why this location cannot do the same, especially to their most loyal customers.
