Excellent location, especially for a first time visit to Edinburgh. A short walk from the train station, which was convenient for travelling back and forth. I scored lowly on amenities as the elevator was broken for the duration of my stay and while it was only a couple of nights, I was on the sixth floor.

The location was great and the room was ok. What we really struggled with is that our room was right off the elevator and not through the fire door. Every time someone opened that door it was like someone was pounding on our door.this happened throughout the night and then again early in the morning while people were starting there day. It was extremely loud and not something you could sleep through. Also. Out our closed window which was a view of the fire escape we could hear someone throwing large amount of glass bottles away several times and that was like 5am. We did not get a good nights sleep for these reasons. Make sure you don’t get the room right off the elevator but not through the fire door.

Overall good environment and extremely fair price, well equipped facilities and had a very nice stay during the holiday with the assistance of the staff. However not suitable for wheelchair users, and the bathroom exhaust fan has too much dust within.

Near Waverley station and accross Scottish monument. Nice staff, help us lift the luggage through stair.

Booked a junior double for an overnight stay as it was close to Edinburgh railway station. The price felt more to do with location rather than the room size/amenities. Personally, we’d enjoy more if it had a smart TV for that price.

The hotel is quite nice, especially in terms of its location, as it is directly opposite Waverley Station, making it very convenient for both business trips and travel. However, as the building is relatively old, there is no lift from the ground floor to the first floor, so you need to carry your luggage upstairs to reach the reception before accessing the lift.

A very central hotel. Next to Waverley train station. Clean and large enough rooms for 2 of us.

Very helpful reception staff both on arrival and during our stay. Breakfast first class and plentiful.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Bed was comfy and bathroom was massive! Could have done with a larger TV.
