We were met by owner, Philip Schubert, who checked us in and helped bring our luggage upstairs (no lift). We were in room #8 for one night. There is no A/C, but opening the windows helps although the insects fly in. I killed three. The superior room is very large with lots of counter space around the sink. The shower head is set very high and deep so that the water spry hits the H/C handles. I had to scoot close. There is no CNN or even BBC. Breakfast looked good at 13E pp. From this location, everything in this village is near. The village plaza with a large fountain can be seen from our window.

Great location in the centre of the village. Not a huge room but well furnished with comfortable bedding and very quiet considering it overlooked the main square. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were plentiful.

Charming and traditional hotel perfectly located overlooking the square and next to the church (the bells do not ring throught the night), ideal for wandering around the beautifully cobbled streets. Philippe kindly allowed us to park our motorcycle in his private garage which we arranged with him in advance. It was extremely hot for our visit so were delighted to find a portable AC unit which was already cooling our room when we arrived. Rooms are comfortable and adequately equipped. Breakfast was a lovely choice, great coffee machine!

Very nice and clean. Great location. Philippe and Mélinda are great hosts. Comfortable room and bed. The breakfast has everything you need to start the day out right. Mélinda has great attention to detail. Highest recommendation.

A lovely charming hotel. Our room overlooked the square, beautiful. Excellent welcome and room was very big and comfortable. We found it a great spot for walking around exploring town and streets. Owner was tres sympa! We parked nearby with 4euro ticket from hotel. Highly recommend!

This hotel had a great location, and our room was superior, but the mattresses were terrible. It was a foam like mattress lying on wood slats. I have had more comfort camping in a tent. We are seniors and left the Hotel with sore backs. When we brought the issue y to the owner's attention. He shrugged his shoulder and said that nobody else has complained. Not the best customer service!

Wonderful hosts; great breakfast; very convenient; provided portable air conditioner even though it was not necessary ("Americans may expect ac"). Has bicycle storage (The bike rental - Also Cycling - is just across the street). Highly recommended.

Charming little hotel right in the middle of the old town next to the church. The view from our bedroom on the top floor was fantastic, although due to the sloping roof was slightly cramped. Tip - check in before paying for parking outside of the old town (no parking inside) as you can buy your ticket at the desk and then return to the car at 11am in the morning rather than 9am.

We are out of words of our admiration for this small (10 rooms) family run hotel situated in the center of pittoresque Eguisheim next to the chateau and church. Short walking distance to everything in the village. The breakfast was amazing with a small and exclusive selection including the best croissants we have had in Alsace so far. The coffee was good beyond words. Our room was provided with a cooler, which was much appreciated because the room got easily stuffy in the summer heat. However, we found out that simply keeping the windows open was better at cooling (no mosquitos). Large new bathroom topped our experience of a truly amazing hotel. We booked directly on the hotel website. We highly recommend this hotel.
