Imbali is one of three lodges and is sister to Hamilton’s Tented Camp and Hoyo Hoyo. All three of the lodges offer something special. Hamilton’s is very colonial. Hoyo Hoyo is African with its layout and Imbali has a more modern feel and set up. All reside on the same concession, so game viewing is good from any of the camps. Our stay at Imbali was a mid week break with really good weather, if not a tad chilly on the early morning game drives. The rooms are spacious enough and the beds are divine to sleep in being so comfy. The staff are very friendly and attentive and nothing is too big to do or a problem. Smiles all around. The food is plentiful and of a very high standard. You won’t go hungry or want for anything. Pile on those kilo’s and worry about the diet after your vacation. The game drives and the Rangers are fun, educational and worth every minute. The Rangers knowledge is so diverse and they answer all your questions without any hesitation. Note, the one game drive you don’t go on, is the one where you miss your favourite animal. Ursula is the GM and is always about should you need her. She is very approachable, friendly and loves to chat. She also runs a tight ship, which shows in the overall experience whichever of the lodges you stay in. We have been going to Hamilton’s and Co for over 10 years and have never been dissatisfied. Such a pleasure to go there.

From start to finish one word, FANTASTIC!!!!! Staff wonderful, every single one introduced themselves and remembered our names, rooms were lovely with everything you needed, food was sooooo good, now the drives OMG we seen e v e r y t h i n g I wanted to see including 3 leopards and my god the baby elephant (thought I had died and gone to heaven) Mark our driver was fantastic and so knowledgeable, he didn’t even mind our silly questions. Ursula greatest host made my dreams come true! Really felt like family. Thank you doers not come close.

5⭐️'s seems totally inadequate for this absolutely first class safari lodge!! The most amazing, personable, welcoming & friendly staff, delicious food, exemplerary service, luxurious accommodation. Everything was perfect. The game drives were incredible, the animals seen coupled with my guide's extensive knowledge/ information about the bush etc was mind-blowing. Without doubt, the best holiday ever. Thank you Team Imbali and especially Jayden.

From the uncertainty of not knowing if we could get in to The Kruger due to heavy rains causing flooding bridges this turned out to be one our best trips ever! The drive from Skukuza Airport (the cutest airport in the world surely!?) to our hotel at Imbali was in itself a Safari drive! On arrival we were greeted like missing old friends and treated as so for the duration of our trip. Our lodge was first class, a huge mosquito net clad king size bed with a fantastic panoramic veranda with our own plunge pool overlooking the river! All very private and peaceful with the beautiful sound of birds, crickets and tree frogs! The food at the resort (we had to skip meals as it comes frequent!) was first class with whatever your tipple is on tap! Two Safari drives a day which are superb and not hurried! A break for coffee and rusks in the morning, sundowners in the evening and the day to recover/chill during the day balances it all out superbly! Our guide Mark was awesome, as was the other guides, but we are biased!!! All of the above AND we saw the big 5! If you want a top notch safari with great people looking after you, Imbali is the one for us!

We spent 3 nights at Imbali lodge as a pre cruise land tour in mid December. What an amazing and memorable experience! Our escort Clive and safari guide Charl made this experience one we will cherish forever.. We did six game drives and Charl’s passion, kindness and enthusiasm brought magic to each one. The lodge accommodations were excellent, as was the food, the wine and certainly the staff. Highly recommend and only wish Canada was not such a long way to travel to return to this paradise..
