Bambuu Lakeside Lodge

We had a wonderful stay at Bambuu lodge. The service was excellent and the food amazing. Best pizza I have ever had. The lodge manager is very accomadating and he makes your stay a real pleasure. Definately would reccomend this place.

I loved the place, I could visit it over and over again. We had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend . They have a great and loving staff members. Selby you are a one kind employee, and Mannie the manager. Such an amazing staff members . I have recommended this establishment for most people I know. It is indeed great for money.

This was the best find, we had an amazing stay so quiet and peaceful. The staff were so friendly, the chalet/ room was gorgeous. The chef was on hand to chat and his food was delicious.

We stayed at the lodge as two friends for 3 days and had a fabulous stay. This place is so quiet and idyllic that you can really relax and still have a perfect starting point for tours into the Kruger National Park or to the Panorama Route. The food is varied and very tasty, and the staff are incredibly courteous and caring. The view of the lake is perfect for unwinding and, with a bit of luck, you might even spot some hippos. Highly recommended!

Our stay was amazing! The location is beautiful and secluded, and the views are beautiful especially if you get a lakeside room. The hotel is small-scale so there won’t be any crowds. The staff really did their best to make us feel welcome and relaxed. They were very friendly! Rooms are spacious and modern but cosy. The only problem we had were the curtains in one of the rooms, they let all the light through so we woke up early with the sunrise. The other room had no such issue though. The pool is great for relaxing, as well as the restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast twice, the food is great and there’s plenty of choice for everyone. The only downside to the lodge is the location, in between Hazyview and Sabie. If you want to visit the Kruger Park, the closest gates (Numbi & Phabeni) are at least 35 km away. You’ll probably spend a lot of your day in the car if you’re driving through the park on your own, and it was a bit annoying for us to sleep so far away from the entrance. During our stay, the long road from Hazyview to the lodge was under construction, which meant we had to drive slowly and wait for other traffic to pass. Slight inconvenience but it didn’t take away from our stay, just something to keep in mind. The drive was worth it though, we had an amazing time. I’d recommend the Bambuu lodge to everyone!
