Overall a very relaxing holiday, rooms are clean and neat, resort is well maintained, staff is friendly and helpful but the restaurant is a disaster, very very poor

Definitely will be returning. Enjoyed the fresh air and the views are amazing. Watchung the clouds go by while on the patio. Also a lot to do as a family.

Crystal Springs is an amazing lodge. The facilities are great. The staff is friendly. The view is what you need to relax and take a break from the busy city life. The roads to the Lodge can get very tricky so be prepare but overall I would highly recommend the lodge to go relax and unwind.

Very disappointed as this once was one of my favorite places to go to. As you drive in the road is terrible to get to the lodge. When you offload your belongings you walk a far way. When we were still busy offloading the monkeys went into our place and grabbed some of our food. I do understand this was our own mistake. After this we called the office asking what time the shop closes. They said at 20:00. We drove to the shop and was there 19:20 and found the shop closed. We asked for wood delivery and waited 2 hours before calling again. The underroof swimming pool closes at 18:00. The warm swimming pools are not warm. The plugs behind the tv is not well connected.... Looks illegal to me? Not safe for kids!

Crystal Springs is located in a very serene, beautiful, peaceful mountainous area. However, upon check-in, I was expected to pay R500 cash for each unit, as a breakage fee, which I did not have on me. I also did not understand why there was a breakage fee at a four-star establishment upon check-in. I was informed that should I opt to pay through bank transfer, I would only be refunded 14 days after checkout, which I found to be unacceptable. There were rats in unit 25, which made our stay very uncomfortable. Generally, the resort seems a bit unkept, the gym facilities were also not clean, and we were expected to pay for gym access, I found that to be unusual. The staff was very friendly, and the pizzeria made the best pizza.
