Happiness Boutique Resort El Nido

I came to this resort with not much expectation since the Tripadvisor rating was just ＜4.0. This was the resort which my cousin booked so I just had to book the same accommodation. But lo and behold! I was so impressed by the Boho-inspired interiors, the tranquility of the atmosphere, and the intimate vibe of the place. We were welcomed by Vlad, the manager of resort. He was so helpful he carried our luggage to the room. The staff were also equally warm and amazing. One of my favorite parts of my El Nido trip was doing some work on my laptop at their restaurant. Loved the music being played there and the relaxing vibe while I was working. I found the shower interesting as it was just open, devoid of any door. I just have two comments. First, the room's lighting was a bit took dark for my liking and second, the staff took some time for our breakfast to be prepared despite ordering them the night before. Overall, it was a pleasant experience to stay at Blue Mango Rooms and Villas.

Beautiful hotel exactly what we wanted. The negative is that from the room the hotels music is extremely loud, you can’t sleep until the music is turned off,the music creates thumping noises from room

We didn’t stay here but we did eat breakfast here a few days, I loved the breakfast and felt it was the best we’d had in the three weeks we’ve been travelling the Philippines. We did check out the rooms as we though we might stay on in El Nido and the rooms do look lovely too. Friendly and helpful staff, but be prepared to wait a bit for your food, it is worth it though.

I had no where to stay at the airport. I needed a few hours sleep only, and the hotels were busy, lacking atmosphere and personality, and outrageously expensive. I heard about Blue Mango. I called and got great service, beautiful room, personal touch. It was exactly what I needed.

I booked this hotel for 4 days based on the beautiful images and reviews but when I arrived I instantly wanted to leave. The hotel is not located in corong town, its based outside of it which means a long walk down a main road, which at night is terrifying due to the traffic. The sea views that are advertised are non existent due to the overgrown garden that sits central to the hotel. Also don't expect a path down to the beach... There isn't one. Thirdly, no breakfast included and quite frankly the menu is dire... No real choice and the prices are expensive for what there is. Our room was meant to be rustic looking but instead it was dark and dingy and the toilet smelt. Electricity on the island can be hit and miss but all hotels have a generator but this hotel switches theirs off to "rest", more likely to save fuel costs. So no Internet, hot water or lighting in your room. We walked down the beach and found better hotels for cheaper so demanded our money back.. Thankfully we got a full refund and quickly left to move into a stunning hotel in the actual town... Don't waste your money here, go to the eco lodge in corong Town.. You will be much happier.

We got here expecting a nice hotel due to the price paid. We were devastated from the moment we arrived and it’s just got worse and worse. It is dark and dingy and the pictures don’t represent the location at all. The staff are dismissive and use the place to sleep. All over the guest chairs and sofas. We understand the electric goes out here but all the other hotels have generators - here does but they won’t run it due to cost ! The rooms are that dark you can’t see what your doing with no electric - bring a torch ! Neighbours said they turn the electric off every day here and the social areas can’t be used as the staff are asleep on them and then leave their rubbish on them (hard to believe but true). Location is no where near the centre of corung so expect a dangerous long walk everywhere ! No where near the beach and no sea view regardless off other reviews. Decrepit buildings to sides with no real garden area (despite photos) and massive complex to the left has its generator next to the hotel that is on all day so don’t expect a peaceful day. We complained immediately and gutted when we saw alternative accommodation that was better and more conveniently located actually on the beach for a lot less than we paid ! Fortunately we chose to leave within 2 hours of arriving and went to a lovely place on the beach , ironically costing less, go figure ! No apologies from the staff so I assume this happens a lot ! Please avoid if you want a nice stay in el nido.
