Ohtels Les Oliveres

First time in this part of Spain. Found this hotel by chance on trip.com and everything turned out well. Little known to Asian tourist since we were the only ones there but encourage Asians to visit. Discovered this very family friendly resort in a great location with nice beaches and nature in the surrounding nature reserve. For kids, no need to leave the resort, fun just staying there. For more adventures discover the many beaches lining the coast and the wetlands further beyond.

Just came back from 4 night break. We went full board as we don't drink alcohol and thought the better option would be to go full board. Firstly when booking online the holiday company was charging £360 for transfers to and from the hotel. So I called the hotel and they gave me a number for a taxi company they use and it cost me 120 euros one way, which is still alot but was still cheaper then online prices. We got to the hotel at 11am and they checked us in and also have room keys early as the room was ready and as the hotel wasn't busy we was pleased we didn't have to wait. The restaurant manager was so helpful and let us have some tea and coffee soon as we checked in. Even though the restaurant was closed and was not all inclusive. This was the only downside issue I had with the hotel. All inclusive included everything as an all inclusive would. However full board was breakfast , lunch and dinner which we also expected. The issue was that they charged us for water during these meal times except for breakfast. I understand if alcohol was charged but charging for water is a crime when you have paid for full board. Also they turn of tea and coffee machines for lunch and dinner, again I was very dissapointed with this. In regards to the food, breakfast was amazing and had plenty of options. Lunch was poor, options not so great and we wasn't to happy with the lunch options. Probably one of the worst we have had when it comes to all inclusive hotels. Dinner was ok, it was average. There was alot of fish everyday for dinner and pork steaks. There was no breast chicken all week. There was chicken legs on one of the days. Loads of salads and spanish seafood options. Dessersts: minimal option compared to other all inclusive hotels we have eaten at. It was ok not. Simple cakes and pastries. Ice cream very poor. This might be because the hotel wasn't so busy so they kept options to minimum, I don't know. Ali the restaurant manager was very helpful though and probably one of the best when it comes to customer service. He even went out his way to open restaurant 30min early for us on the day we was due to fly home. This was a very kind gesture and so helpful. If you are going to this hotel your probably better of going all inclusive rather then full board if you enjoy your alcohol and snacks. The room we has was a good size but abit dated and old. The tv was very old, the beds abit firm and not great quality. The shower door was made of glass and very heavy. Shower and hot water was great but again it was old and dated. I'm sure there are better and nicer rooms in the hotel. The pool was very nice and lots of sunbeds available, good temperature and plenty of space for the kids to have fun. The animation team are excellent, they tried so hard and do their best for the kids and adults. Thank you to everyone for our little holiday break at your hotel. Most of the staff were exceptional while we were there. Wait staff in the restaurant were so lovely and efficient. Bar staff in the pool cafe were friendly and nothing was too much. Reception staff were helpful and the lady that checked us in early hours was so lovely (I can't remember her name, sadly). The room was basic and clean but we didn't spend much time there, only to sleep, so was not very important. The kids loved the pool area. Which was clean and well maintained. Carlos and the rest of the entertainment team were wonderful. They try very hard to get everybody involved, even though some days were quiet. We laughed a lot and the kids were so happy. The hotel is in a beautiful setting. The cliffside walks are gorgeous and there are various beaches you can access. We are slightly out of season obviously, but it was so peaceful. Just perfect. We are one happy family.
